Pucallpa is more relaxed than Iquitos but The jungle in Peru is difficult in general for white foreigners. There is a lot of racism. It is not my favorite city in the jungle. Not a lot to wander around. People are very kind. I recommend visiting the boiling river but the bride's veil waterfall was a rip-off: too much travel time for something not amazing at all. Food was great everywhere, specially in: Tuyuyo, el Toro Pez and Ukaw. The cabins were spacious and comfortable and the property was extensive and lush. Perfect for a few days of rest and relaxation after a medicine retreat. We had dinner and lunch a few times and they offered to accommodate dieta regulations. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant a few times and it was always very tasty. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed and very clean. The pool is amazing and open until late which is really nice regarding to the 24/7 heat in Pucallpa.
