Stockholm is a beautiful city.
Stockholm is a beautiful city. Staying just outside The Old Town was perfect - SoFo - is a lovely bohemian area with very few tourists. Walking is easy but also the public transport system (including ferries) is superb.
Just walking the streets of The Old Town is a delight, But also recommend some island hopping. Skansen, The Museum of Modern Art and Stampen jazz club were particular favourites.
And a lovely bistro hidden amongst the web of cobbled streets in the Old Town is Under Kastanjen.

Absolutely lovely and beautiful city!
Absolutely lovely and beautiful city! Stayed a bit further away from the centre, but getting around Stockholm is incredibly easy! You can use the SL app to buy tickets or just pay as you go (there are cards machine at the entry of all metro stations as well as the trams and buses). The city centre is gorgeous, however it can be a bit crowded since there are my avenues and shops around. Eating wise, please try all the kardemommeboller you possibly can because they are delicious (my recommendations are Stora Bageriet and Lillebrors). Don't hesitate to take a boat tour to see the city from the water, you won't regret it! 🤎 Great city for shopping but also with beautiful nature areas such as parks, gardens and the archipelago!

Beautiful city but don't underestimate its size or how far it is to walk between places of interest. We discovered their superb transport system and used that after our first day walking everywhere to get to places we had booked.
In three and a half days we visited: Vasa Museum (amazing), Abba (don't be embarrassed to sing - we weren't), Avicii experience (more singing), Sprit museum (Swedish tasting tray was definitely something we wont forget!) Ice Bar, Gamla Stan and the Under the Bridges boat tour. There was so much more we could have seen including visiting the Royal Palace and Skansen (next time perhaps). People are friendly and helpful but don't take too much cash (like we did) as most places in Stockholm were cashless and only accepted card payments.
Food was an issue, we should have researched more as reasonably priced eateries that were open in April were hard to find.

Hello, I am not satisfied with our stay, when we arrived the room was not ready so we got another one, I paid for the room to feel comfortable and we got a worse room and it was also very dirty. dirty glasses and hair on the table. it wasn't cool
Absolutely amazing location, presentation and vibe. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had with mesmerising view of Stockholm + so many options to choose from (vegan, gluten free, healthy & regular). There was a TV even in our really small room without windows so it was so nice to wind down with Netflix in the evening after full day of exploring. Also, there is so many events happening right at the hotel (October fest, Karaoke night…) so that you can meet other travellers.
Extremely friendly staff on reception, I didn't take your name but you know who you are, a real star. It's an old building so our room had high ceilings and one of the softest most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast includes everything you could ever want and a few things you didn't know you needed, wonderful. If you like antique shops and an urban vibe then this is a great location with the best of Stockholm shopping just a short walk away.
Clean and spacious room. Dinner was included - it was a great deal. Both breakfast and dinner came with a wide variety of food to choose. Dining/open common area on the ground floor was so spacious and comfortable. It was not so far from the hotel to the city center - about 10-15 mins to Slussen from the hotel by bus and then just one stop to Gamla Stan by metro. This was my second stay within 10 months. One of staff (probably a manager) still remembered me.
Everything was just amazing. Staff was really helpful, the breakfast was AMAZING and the location is the you will get in Stockholm. I also tried speaking Swedish with the staff, and even though they knew they could communicate in English with me, they tried to speak Swedish with me which I find adorable.
The best hotel you will ever stay in, truly. It is not only beautiful but also has everything one needs for the perfect stay.
I stayed at Sky Aparthotel for 3 weeks in October 2022. My studio was spacious and bright with large windows. The bed was comfortable and I felt at home right away. I would highly recommend this aparthotel for short and medium length stays. The location of the hotel is close to the city center and there is a large supermarket 5 min. away. Will definitely stay again there if I visit Stockholm.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Stockholm's historical city centre on the other side of the water. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and seating area, and the staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Also, the Södermalm island offers a 'real' (less touristy) city vibe, with great (vintage) shops and restaurants.
Great breakfast with a variety of foods. Hotel is right next to Skanstull metro station and 20 mins walk into Gamla Stan. Room was nice and spacious (around 20 sq metres) and clean as well as quiet. Great value for money considering this is Stockholm and for the same price you can get nice hotels in the center but the rooms can be like 8 sq metres etc!
Hotel is perfect choice for it’s price: it’s outside the city center, but there is subway station in 5 mins, so you can get to Gamla Stan in 25-30 mins. There is nice quite neighborhood with cafes and supermarket near the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel is pretty diverse with big choice of food. There is an iron and ironing-board in every room.
The hotel is very charming and extremely Swedish :-)
You see careful and beautiful details in everything, its all simple, but functional and at the same time sophisticated. I been in Stockholm many times and this was my best hotel experience.
Will certainly stay there the next time I go to Stockholm!
With a view of Gamla Stan, this hotel was an excellent choice. It was close to all major attractions and provided an excellent night's sleep. The best part, however, was the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Stockholm.
It's exactly what I usually get in a Best Western hotel. The room was a bit more spacious than I expected.
There was a minibar fridge, which was a good surprise.
Very good breakfast.
Daily housekeeping was great.
Excellent value for the price if you are going for a short stay at Stockholm.
Everything was amazing. Really liked the staff, they were super friendly, helpful and polite. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was truly delicious. One of the best we've ever had. We also liked the location - the supermarket was right next to the hotel.
Hotel is located at one of the best locations if you are visiting Stockholm for the first time. Johnny is so friendly and helpful about everything. Johnny and rest of the staff made us feel home. Thank you for everything, see you next time!
&hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was top notch and the staff’s been so friendly and helpful. Tack for everyone out there who made my stay memorable. My next stay in Stockholm would certainly be at &Hotel.
I honestly cannot PinPoint one thing. It was hands down the best hotel I've stayed in. The staff were so polite. They room was perfect. I will always come back to this hotel anytime I'm in stockholm.
One of the best breakfasts I have had in a hotel that is considered to be low-mid budget for a place like Stockholm, for that reason alone it should be recommended to anyone.
Room was large and comfortable. Hotel was right near train station and short 10 minute walk to Gamla Stan. Staff very helpful even suggested items to do on checkout day.
Everything was as expected. The rooms were underground, at least most of them. Breakfast was great! Quite cheap for a hotel in central Stockholm. Good stuff!
