Rawai beach is disgusting.
Rawai beach is disgusting. I've been to five beaches in Thailand so far, four were great, this one is God awful. The sand is basically gravel, there is drainage and sewage works all along the beach, meaning the water is disgusting. You can literally see pipes all along the sand and waste running into the sea. No where to sun bathe, all round terrible. Will never go back. The fish markets nearby were good, so if you're going there for food, great. Otherwise, avoid.

It is a nice property with nice and friendly staff, it is a cheap option near Rawai beach, good enough but don’t expect anything fancy like amenities such as toothbrushes or paste, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer etc, they don’t have it so you need to bring your own if you need it. Everything was pretty clean but not perfect, i would say “standard cleaning” , something we really loved about them is that everyday they give you a couple of bottles of water for free and the watermelon juice and the coffee was really nice. I loved this place and I will be returning. It had the sweet mixture of enough facilities, restaurants and bars, without the tourist trap depression of places like Patong. The food was amazing, particularly recommend buying from the fisherman market and having your catch cooked by restaurants across the alleyway. Sunrises were stunning, lots of little waterfront bars and restaurants. Just a really lovely vibe.

Its nice because its very calm with less tourist traffic. The very best thing you can do is take boat tours to the near by islands and beaches. The fish market is another highlight. Buy live seafood at the market and bring it to the restaurants nearby and they will cook it for you. Very cheap. most shops and restaurants and massage places don't open until 10am Its better to take a day trip here than to sleep here.AAnonymous

The food at the restaurant was alright and the bed was quite hard, but waking up to such a stunning view you’ll get one of the nicest experiences on Phuket if you’re in for a calm holiday or if you want to train at AKA Thailand (famous Muay Thai gym around the corner). Also worth noting that the sunset (around 06:30 in January) is absolutely amazing with the golden view over the hills, ocean and islands. Definitely recommend!

And lastly GORGEOUS views all day long.
