A quiet and dreamy city. Not touristy. Calm. And beautiful. The people are gentle, friendly and very welcoming to foreigners. For those who don't like the hastle and noise of Pattaya or Hua Hin, It's perfect. Also, It's a stones throw from gorgeous islands.

Hotel recently renovated.
Hotel recently renovated. I have spoken to locals and bar owners and they all say this is good hotel in Ban Chang. Ban Chang is a good stopover for Golfers and people like myself who want to get away from Pattaya which is a bit more hectic. Bars are a bit more expensive than Pattaya bars due to less customers than Pattaya.GrenvilleThailand

The owners Craig and his wife were outstanding from a service and human perspective and i would highly recommend the Hideaway as the place to stay in Ban Chang. I did the whole tourist walk thing and found myself exhausted so I booked a night at this hotel to refresh and recharge. Amazingly helpful and courteous staff. They spoke enough English to make the transaction painless. Rooms are some of the nicest SCN rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The restaurant downstairs is great! Had salmon and mashed potatoes. The breakfast is european style and the coffee machine can brew all you wish to start the day with. The room is very large, with a comfy bed mattress and pillows...good sleeping is guaranteed.
