Very friendly staff. Great location right on the beautiful beach. Nice beach bar / restaurant with good portion sizes. Great sunset view! Clean bungalow with a great seaview. Bungalow is simple but clean. We came back here for breakfast and cocktails even after we moved to another hotel on the island. Would very much recommend and would come back for longer at this place next time!

Barefoot Project formerly Baan Klong Kleng, hotel in Ko Phayam

Boasting a bar and views of garden, Barefoot Project formerly Baan Klong Kleng is a recently renovated guest house situated in Ko Phayam, a few steps from Ao Khao Kwai North Beach.

Location is close to a lovely beach, although be warned, especially if you have kids, the ocean is full of gigantic jellyfish so it is difficult to swim. Sunsets are beautiful.

Phuree Hut, hotel in Ko Phayam

Phuree Hut is located in Ko Phayam and offers bamboo huts with sea views. Free WiFi access is available. The accommodation will provide you with a balcony, a fan and a mosquito net.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Phuree Hut in Koh Phayam. The host family was attentive and present throughout the day, ensuring that all guests felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and I found Phuree Hut to be one of the most well-maintained places I've stayed at in Thailand. The breakfast offered three delicious options: eggs with toast, yogurt with fruits, or rice soup with chicken or vegetarian. While they only had coffee powder and not freshly brewed coffee, there were plenty of coffee shops nearby in the direction of Long Beach, offering a wide variety of coffee options. Additionally, the location is perfect, with Phuree Huts situated in the heart of the island, making it a mere 5-10 minute drive to any other place on the island. The trees around the houses provide shade, and a gentle breeze accompanies you as you relax on the hammock on the balcony. Phuree Hut also offers laundry services for clothing. I highly recommend Phuree Hut for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on Koh Phayam. I will definitely be back!

Payam Cabana, hotel in Ko Phayam

Situated in Ko Phayam, Payam Cabana offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Ao Khao Kwai South Beach and features various facilities, such as a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

Great food. As the tide is quite heavy you cannot swim during the day if it is low tide. The are is very calm and indeed beautiful. Owners are very nice and always helpful. If you want some days to explore the marine life, the mangroves and the moken people allow yourself a few days here.we stayed 6 days and found it suitable.

Jansom Bungalow 2, hotel in Ko Phayam

Jansom Bungalow 2 features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Ko Phayam.

Lovely setting, nice deck and view down to the beach.( which is beautiful!!) Very rustic but nice. We did have a visit from a critter so if you are bringing food or anything, it would need to be well contained. And an ant invasion, which was taken care of by a hose. The staff was informed and very quick to respond. Really good restaurant next door. Funky places down the beach.

Starlight Beach Resort, hotel in Ko Phayam

Located right on the Beach in Khao Kwai Bay of Ko Phayam, Starlight Beach Resort features a restaurant and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site.

Traveled with my teen son. The grounds are gorgeous and lush, with several bungalows nestled into the garden spaces lining the walkway from the road toward the front (beach). We chose a bungalow with sea view, access to the beach within steps and common lounging area outside of the bungalow.. Outside of the room is a porch with a couple of chairs, table and hammock. The rooms are small for 2, so the extra space outside was well appreciated.for the times that we stayed close to the resort.. In April, all calm and peaceful, The staff is extremely pleasant and engaging. Another thing to appreciate the effort to reduce on plastics. The resort provides your own water bottle during your stay, and water for refills. We were glad to have brought our insulated bottles to keep water cold with ice all day. This is a really great place for those who seek pure calm,. and to enjoy the sounds and sights of nature.

What a beautiful, mostly unspoilt island, lovely beaches, jungle and no cars! Laid back atmosphere. The food was amazing, much, much better than in Koh Tao where we are now. Lovely local people. A real gem - let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Koh Samui and Koh Tao.

The Island is incredible - beautiful, lush and lovely to explore by scootie, cycle or walking. Our fav restaurant was The Kitchen Table run by Chioko. Best brusketta and place to hang with sweet kitties and dogs. Also Flower Power has excellent Italian food. We loved our stay in Bamboo Bungalos. Can’t wait to go back! Pure heaven.

Empty wide sand beach, tranquility. It is great for people who really want to relax, great for families. Rent a scooter to get around, if you want to explore a little more. Kajaks are fun to have some activity.

Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!)

Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!) The Thai and Burmese that live and work on the island are always friendly, helpful and HONEST. Getting around the island is easy and cheap, whether by foot, motorbike, bicycle or motorbike taxi. The food is delicious, with a variety of cuisines for those who want a change from Thai or Burmese food, many of the foodstuffs are sourced locally, including seafood caught from the sea surrounding Phayam, food and accomodation are very affordable, I have been coming to Phayam for ~ 8 years now and won’t stop.

The location is perfect. The beach and area around the hotel are keept clean. The rooms are very comfortable and I especially like the softer mattress compared to other hotels in thailand. The staff is extremely nice and will help you get anything you need. The pool is clean and nice view over the ocean. Please remember - this is an upcoming tourist area, so not all staff speak English - but then again that's a good excuse to learn a bit of thai language.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rabbit Bungalows. That's the reason why we stayed there for 12 nights instead of 3. The owner of this place is fantastic. He really goes above and beyond for his guests. Also, the garden and bungalows are beautiful and very well maintained. Great value for money. We really felt at home during our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Great little place with cabins set mostly in the jungle. Cabin was simple with fan and mosquito net so perfectly met our needs. Right on the beach and easy access to all the other hotels and restaurants. Great little terrace at the end of the garden overlooking the sea. Todd and the other staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway.

Could hear the sound of the surf from the bungalow and I love swimming in the sea. Dining on the beach was super and the restaurant food was very good. Bungalows were comfortable and clean. The resort didn’t overwhelm the nature. The cost was a real plus; JJ’s delivered great vacation value.

100% perfect location on the south end of Buffalo Bay. Only a few bungalows tucked away in the trees so never felt busy. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, surroundings immersed in nature. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and served above average food.

Everything, soooo peaceful. Before I came i read the reviews and there was one or two saying bad things? Don't come if you're expecting 4 star hotel comforts but if you like nature and don't mind a fairly basic experience (i think you know what I mean?) You will love it x

Our bungalow was right near the water so we fell asleep every night listening to the waves! So very relaxing. The beaches on the other side of the island are better, but PP Land Eco Resort is conveniently located close to the main pier and the many restaurants close by.
