We spent 13 days at Babalao Bungalows and the experience exceeded our expectations. The owners were always available to give great advice on anything we wanted! The food was very good. The location is also great, the beach is a 2 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here - quiet, cozy and welcoming. The rooms, common area and pool are truly amazing. Max and Elena and the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We already miss the place and are considering going back soon!

Each morning, I eagerly anticipated breakfast, and I was never disappointed. The on-site restaurant at Babalao Bungalows serves a delectable array of dishes, from fresh tropical fruits and pastries to made-to-order omelets and local specialties. Babalao Bungalows in Zanzibar is a fantastic place to stay. It has comfy rooms. Plus, there's a cool swimming pool surrounded by trees and plants where you can relax and have fun. It's a great place to chill out and enjoy your vacation.

Max was informative and gave recommendations for restaurants as well as booking a boat excursion to snorkel and swim with dolphins. Yahya was excellent with booking us transfers. Since we visited during rainy season the power often went out at night but was quickly restored. The included breakfast was varied and wonderful. We especially appreciated the free water to fill our bottles. The property is beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend Babalao!

The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was clean and spacious. The attention to detail was evident throughout the property, from the lush gardens to the refreshing pool area. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast and food!! Fantastic place to stay in Zanzibar, Nungwi. Lovely location, close to the beach, the markets and restaurants, and the neighborhood it feels very safe. The service has been fantastic throughout the entire stay! Every morning it’s a new breakfast with delicious local fruit! We’d love to come back!

This was my 3rd hotel stop in Zanzibar, and was definitely the best. Location and facilities are great, just as in pictures. Max and team are really helpful. I was able to have a late checkout as my flight was later in the evening. Definitely recommend.

Everything was great, it was clean, the staff was very friendly and nice and Max and Elena would do anything to help you. They helped us organize trips, transfers even gave us advice about the surroundings. The location is also great, very close to the beach and a lot of restaurants nearby.

The bungalows are located in a great location which is just around the corner from the beach. They offer a delicious breakfast and a good variety of food if you want to have dinner, like us, in the evening without having to leave the place. If you need any help to arrange things, the owners will take good care of you to make sure you have a great stay!

Beautiful and comfy place in the best location with great pool, lounge and chill-out area, only 2 mins to the beach, with many restaurants and shops around.
