Maria and Paco created a wonderful oasis full of tropic plants, so many comfortable areas to relax with three pools and a good restaurant with delicious, healthy food and individually created rooms. Everything is so beautiful and done with love. Their staff is very friendly and you can feel how they appreciate each other. I can highly recommend Marias Yoga class in the morning and the drumming sessions offered by Janja - it was so much fun to try! They are supporting good local people like him. You can book a massage there done by local women - very relaxing - and the snorkeling trip and swimming with dolphins was great, too. Such a great place to stay and in the low season it's very quiet. This is a property with the most friendly a charming atmosphere I have ever been. Extremely friendly. helpful and willing staff, obviously very precisely chosen. Nothing is a problem for the owner Maria and Paco. Their motto is: everything has a solution. The guest satisfaction is very important for them and do all to reach this goal. No difference between photos on booking and the reality. If I will go to the Zanzibar again, I will not even think about any other property to stay.

Salama & Mbuyuni is an absolutely beautiful, clean and laidback gem in Zanzibar. The owners, Maria and Paco, are an energetic and very social couple from Spain, who have been living on the island for more than a decade. We particularly enjoyed the friendly staff as well as the amazing juices and the pool in the tropical and beach-vibey garden. The breakfast was much better than in most places in Tanzania.

Beautiful gardens full of plants and flowers. Absolutely for retreat. The host were great, friendly and helpful. I like also yoga lessons. Breakfasts were also good, fresh juice, fruits, omelettes or chapati.

the hotel is beautiful, filled with plants, chilling spots and amazing pools. they have great infrastructure for working with plenty of plugs everywhere, good wifi, and a coworking area on the making. Paco, Maria and the staff go above and beyond to accomodate our needs and help us plan activities both within and outside of the hotel. they also organise live music nights which were soso fun. cleaning service was spotless, with fresh beddings and towels everyday.

The place is beautifully arranged with lots of plants/trees and three different pools. The bungalows are beautiful and spacious. All the staff are super friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. Maria and Paco are very present and always up for a small chat plus always available if there are questions. The place is only a short walk to the beach. We loved that there was no buffet at breakfast, this means the food was always very fresh and no food waste!! ANd yes, there were power cuts and no water at times but this is very normal in Africa :) And Paco and Maria always tried their best to keep it to a minimum, sometimes it is out of their control especially if there is heavy rain as we had one day.
