I'm what you would call an "Accidental Host". My skills as a professional photographer lead me to meeting with a gentleman who was looking to sell some property here in the desert. I'm tech savvy as well and next thing you know I'm managing his properties for him here in the desert and in Europe. Word of mouth spread and now two years later, I have a portfolio of vacation rentals here in 29 Palms. I've been a resident here in the desert for 27 years and counting. Joshua Tree National Park is my photography muse. I love sharing my passion for this arid landscape with visitors from all over the world. Whether it be sharing some of my favorite locations in the park or dining at one of our local restaurants. There's more here to do than meets the eye. Escape to the Flying Point Homestead Compound, a one-of-a-kind vacation rental located just 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park in Twentynine Palms. Our 5-acre property features three separate living spaces, each with its own unique charm and desert-inspired design. Families can come together and explore the open desert, hike in Joshua Tree National Park, and take in the mesmerizing night skies. And the best part? We're pet-friendly, so your furry friends can join in on the fun too! ACCOMMODATIONS - The Main House: Master Bedroom: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Full Bed | Living Room: 2 Couch | 2 Bathrooms - 1 Bathroom with tub/shower combo, 2nd Bathroom with walk-in shower. Front and back covered patios. Back patio includes an outdoor fireplace and a propane BBQ. The Bungalow: Open Living Space: Queen-size bed | Sofa bed (full-size sleeps 2) | 1 Bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a patio wrapped by a privacy fence that includes an outdoor shower, lounge chairs and a propane BBQ. You can also enjoy the sunrise from the front covered patio and outdoor dinner space. Silver Streak Trailer: Open Living Space: Full-size Bed | Couch | 1 Bathroom with small walk-in shower. Includes a covered patio with outdoor dining space. In the private yard there are lounge chairs for soaking up the star studded skies at night, outdoor firepit and a propane BBQ. There is also an outdoor shower for guests to enjoy. Property has several outdoor seating areas, a unique boat yard and a collection of vintage trucks for guests to explore.

Neighbourhood information

The Flying Point Homestead is located in a rural area of the desert overlooking Joshua Tree National Park, the 29 Palms Marine Base and the City of 29 Palms. Our neighborhood feels secluded since most homes are located on 5 acres and many parcels have no homes on them, just open desert. While relaxing outdoors, you'll likely see desert iguanas, jack rabbits, road runners and other wildlife that inhabit the desert. In town there is a unique collection of local restaurants, bars and boutique shops to explore. We have curated our favorites in a Digital Guidebook we share with all guests upon making there reservation. Very helpful in assisting you in planning your stay!
