I come regularly to this hotel when I visit SF. It has all I ask from a hotel: clean, quiet and pleasant room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. It is located in the city center, and the surroundings are safe and nice. WiFi works well.

Super friendly staff, good simple but nice breakfast, very quiet, calm, clean, spotless furniture. Very nicely located near Union Square. Walkable as it is downtown!

Room was clean and comfortable, had a microwave and mini-fridge which I always appreciate, but no hot water kettle. It also had crockery but no cleaning supplies (sponge, dishwashing soap). Rooms were also cleaned daily. Location was convenient to my conference at the Hilton nearby, just be aware of where you are walking as it's right next to the Tenderloin. The continental breakfast was also decent, I actually found it had more protein available than the Hilton! There is also a handy mini-market next door that had quality goods. I also had some issues with my foreign credit card, the concierge was more than accommodating while I sorted it out.

I loved that it had something of old San Francisco about it. Good location not far from Union square. The room was very comfortable with large opening windows. The staff were fabulous! They were helpful, informative and very personable.

This is a nice hotel that is pleasant for a short stay. We especially enjoyed the following: 1. Quiet room that did not overlook the Main Street (Bush Street). 2. Fairly spacious room. 3. Two separate walk-in closets within the room. These were very useful for storing luggage etc. 4. Microwave with some basic crockery and cutlery. 5. Stable wifi connection. 6. Functional breakfast included in the price. 7. Sense of history within the hotel. 8. Friendly staff at checkin and reception. 9. Smooth checkin process. 10. Nice chest of drawers within the room.

Room was great and quite spacious, large closet, clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night, no noise issues (we were on the top floor). Breakfast was basic but was fine.

This hotel is an old building with a lot of character. The room was quite spacious and had a kitchenette which was very handy with a small fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and the reception area had comfy leather sofas and was a nice place to spend time whilst waiting to go to the airport. The location is good, a short walk to Union Square and there are good bar and restaurant options nearby plus a superette next door.

Location is great, but also the decoration inside is - little paintings on doors and walls are cute. Small but filling continental breakfast, helped start our days. Every day the towels were replaced and the room cleaned. Easy walk downhill to Union square and Powell St Bart, but best to Uber from airport with luggage as it’s uphill to the hotel
