Everything in the lodge was very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. The kitchen even had coffee! And the proprietor, Gail, is the kindest and most accommodative person. We enjoyed our stay, and will visit again!

The location is the strongest point - we LOVED walking to the beach and also being able to walk to all of the good restaurants. Parking can be a hassle in Grand Lake and it was nice not to worry about it. It is also a view you can’t beat - absolutely gorgeous!!!

We certainly enjoyed the Creekside atmosphere most with the river right behind the unit that we could see in here all evening and all day. How relaxing. With only a 3 to 5 minute walk to town lake, it made it easy to not have to drive and look for parking places. There were a wide variety of coffee shops, and restaurants to choose from while in town. we are also right down the road from several trailhead one that we walked to as well. We recommend us for a relaxing stay.

Grand Lake is a small town.
Grand Lake is a small town. Main street is about 6-7 blocks long. Filled with stores, restaurants and fun things to do. In the summertime, they have bingo in the main square outside. It's a blast, and great for families. On Saturdays they have a pancake breakfast. Can't get much better. If you're lucky you'll spot moose....sometime in town. OMG. Plus it sits at the entry of Rocky Mountain Park. Nature beyond compare.....just Wow.

Grand Lake is one of those locations that is a natural lake, not manmade. It has the raised wooden boardwalks in the original areas of the town. It is a perfect place to stay for a week, if you have the time. As a teenager, I fell in love with it -- riding bicycles, playing mini-golf, taking boat rides, hiking to the fire lookout tower or Adams Falls. In the summer there is a stable for rides.
Like everywhere else, it is being loved to death and gets crowded in the summer. There is a yacht club with regattas and a 4th of July fireworks. The town theater has movies, plays, and musical events. AND, Rocky Mountain National Park's west entrance is just 5 minutes away.

Location a bit out of town - about 15 minutes.
Location a bit out of town - about 15 minutes. At first wasn't sure we would like it but was a comfortable, quiet house overlooking a small river. Very peaceful. Enjoyed kayaking, golf, dinners in town and a night at the repertory theater, which is always fun. We went into RMNP and hiked to Adams Falls as well. Only drawback is the coffeemaker did not work and we had to go into town each morning just to get coffee. Having never used Vacasa, they don't have the owner close or even near as AirBnB hosts are. So, they don't respond very quickly to requests such as this...was never resolved while we were there.
All in all a nice getaway for a girls trip.

We love Grand Lake!
We love Grand Lake! We make it a point to travel here at least once a year (June - October) in some capacity. The town is so cute and fun, and the surrounding area (lakes, mountains, and RMNP) are just gorgeous! We love the local hiking trails, and it's a great area to bring our dog along. Monarch Lake and Lake Granby are some of our favorites for bringing our pup. RMNP is a must do if you've never been. Dogs are welcome in the park, but only permitted outside your vehicle in campgrounds/ day use, and parking lots. Dogs are not allowed on trails. However there are many pup friendly trails in the Grand Lake / Granby area.
There are many different things to do and see in GL if you are all in for a mountain getaway. Bars, shops, restaurants, cafes, a number of places to satisfy a sweet tooth. Hiking trails, campgrounds, boat rentals, mini golf, lots of lakes. The town closes down a bit early at night (6 - 8 pm for many places) so keep that in mind. There are a couple places that stay open past 8 pm, one being the BBQ restaurant. It's a bit pricey, but they have good food and it's easy to get takeout there if you desire. Grand Lake is not a resort town that stays open late into the night (ala Breckenridge). But it is so beautiful and charming, and it's one of our most loved places to revisit. Great for family style vacay, romantic retreat, or a solo trip to refresh. One of our fav places in the warm months is the ice cream stand down by the Marina. So good!!
Whenever we visit we prefer to stay for at least two nights, but even a one night stay, or just a day trip is definitely still worth it! Holidays do get busy in town, but all in all it's an experience worth having.
I loved that there were multiple places to sleep there wasn't just the two beds there was a sofa bed, a cot and an extra bed underneath the beds in the room! It was nice that it was all clean and even had pots and pans so we could cook a meal if needed! In the town of grand lake it was within walking distance of two trail heads and all the town had to offer!
The room we were had a great view of the lake. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and well furnished. It was the right size for two people. It was the beginning of the off season in Grand Lake or maybe inbetween. A few area business were shut down that would be open in summer season. Not sure if they reopen during snow mobile season.
The location of this property is excellent, in a quiet, peaceful residential area very close to Grand Lake. The house is quite well sized, and well equipped. It was very clean and easy to get the keys etc. Not really much else to say except it made for a really nice family vacation home and I would stay there again for sure.
The location is excellent (right on Grand Avenue in Grand Lake). The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and... we had live entertainment both nights! Very cool atmosphere with a deck, tables and chairs, a restaurant, a bar, firepits, game room, bikes that guests can use... it was perfect!
This has been the absolute best place we have stayed in years. Jimmy was super nice along with a few other staff members I met. Super kind and very helpful. The room was very clean, very cozy, and even the coffee options were great! We intend to stay here again on our next Grand Lake trip.
We loved this house, so comfortable for our family of 5. Attention to detail throughout. Top of the line fixtures, etc. Granddaughters loved the colorful bedroom with the bunkbeds. Perfect location near main street. And Grand Lake itself was great new experience for us
The location is the strongest point - we LOVED walking to the beach and also being able to walk to all of the good restaurants. Parking can be a hassle in Grand Lake and it was nice not to worry about it. It is also a view you can’t beat - absolutely gorgeous!!!
The hotel should get the Oscar for its decoration. Not sure how to call the style but sure it’s fun. Surprisingly good dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice bar for a good night drink on the terrasse.
The location was good, the staff were mostly friendly.
There was a young guy at the front desk thst had a bit of attitude.
It was clean and the breakfast was good.
I think it is still over priced for an older hotel.
The proximity to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park is unbelievably close to the cabin. Old downtown Grand Lake is a very short drive away. Grocery, restaurants, fuel, also very close. 5 minute drive
Close to Rocky Mountain NP! Lots of little shops down the street. We walked down to Grand Lake by the marina and got ice cream. Sat on the bench and watched the boats coming and going. Great quick visit!
Mondays in Grand Lake most restaurants including the one on site at the hotel are closed. We were happy we could have breakfast the next am without going into town. The hot tub was good.
Host family is extremely nice and attenttive, room is huge, parking lot too, very close to gate to Rocky Mountain National Park. Shops and restaurants are very close to the hotel.
Walking distance to the restaurants, stores and Grand Lake. Spacious, clean room. Microwave and mini refrigerator in room. Bench and covered “porch” area outside of room.
