Talus Rock Retreat started as a single family home built to "serve those who serve others" such as pastors, teachers, soldiers and missionaries, met with an economic downturn. Consequently, since the infrastructure was in, the villa also provides high-end lodging to guests seeking a romantic getaway or a unique lodging experience. The family who owns the Retreat is able to continue with the core mission as well as play host to fabulous guests throughout the year.

Talus Rock Retreat features two rooms with a jetted tub, a ten-man hot tub under the stars, a one-acre pond for fishing and paddle boating, and incredible mountain views. There are three gourmet kitchens, a swimming pool, movie theater room, two fireplaces, and so much more. Guests experience all the great things of a B/B in a professional atmosphere. Private and secluded, we have a knowledgeable staff attuned to the best of the best in Sandpoint and surrounding areas. Our neighborhood is full of peace and quiet, abundance of wildlife (deer, geese, hawks, eagles, moose and occasional bear), and great walks and hikes; only a mile from town. There are miles of nearby trails for hiking by car, bike or walking distance. We are close to the beach and marina, the music festival, excellent restaurants, the local farmer's market, parks, and more.
