Millionaires' Playground
A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.
The city also has its fair share of culture, including the Art Deco District, which houses the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, including some of the brightly-lit Miami Beach hotels on Ocean Drive.
Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose the Miami Beach accommodation in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.
It was the best beach I ever went
And the water was amazing
I have no wrong things to say
I would go again . My favorite spot was the park before you go to the beach and of course the beach.
I eat mostly in Catina restaurant: amazing food and staff

This was my first time to Miami Beach.
This was my first time to Miami Beach. The art deco architecture did not disappoint me. Thank goodness there was a woman back in the '70s who decided to help preserve all of that architecture. There is a tribute to her on Ocean drive at the tourist building. The beach is huge and there is a wonderful strip Park that travels the entire length of the Miami Beach area that you can walk or jog or bicycle. There are numerous restaurants along Ocean drive or back one or two or three blocks. There's a huge pedestrian Mall shopping area in the northern part of South Miami Beach. It's very easy to get into the city. If you have a rental car, it's just a short drive. Then you can be in the design district or Wynwood. Our favorite restaurant was Puerto Saugua. Their prices were reasonable for this area and I think it was pretty authentic Cuban influenced food. I had a bowl of pork stew with rice and fried sweet plantain bananas. Incredible. There is also a trolley system that is free that can get you up and down the entire strip. Like many other cities in the country, Miami Beach has a homelessness problem. But we never felt unsafe anywhere that we went.

The traffic is insane!
The traffic is insane! We enjoyed our time in my Miami for a conference but the commute was so long. The weather and hospitality was so nice. The views of the ocean was breath taking creating a calmness in our soul. Thank you Miami for bringing beauty and rest in this wacko-doodle world of ours. Bev T

I thought Miami Beach would be more "Beachy" but we found the beach itself a bit boring. So, we turned to the city for fun, and we found many great places to eat and hang out. The free trolley service made it easy to explore North, South, and all between. This is a great place for a few days, a bit unique from other places.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. The room/apartment is spacious and has all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect. Just be aware that it is on top of Bar Palace. For us it was not an issue, it was a plus. Roof top pool access is also a must. Perfect hotel/apartments for a stay full of activities. It is not for relaxation. You should know that if booking any stay at Ocean Drive. Thank you.

Too much traffic.
Too much traffic. Streets blocked all around due to murders during spring break. Financial disparity overwhelming. Yachts and mansions yet the working class can't pay their bills or obtain good jobs.
The location is perfect for exploring South Beach and Miami overall. Many stores, restaurants, bars, the beach is super close.
The staff was very helpful, we were welcomed with a complementary Mojito drink which was a very nice touch.
The breakfast is very good and you can enjoy it next to the lovely pool. The wi-fi was good as well, I had to work a bit and holding video calls was not a challenge at all.
The room was clean.
The hotel has its place on the beach which was super convenient.
Hotel is two towers with a small lap pool in the middle. It is located directly across from the beach which was excellent. Valet parking was an additional $50 per night which was expensive. The restaurant located in the hotel is below average and would NOT recommend eating there, so many better places off Ocean Drive. South Beach is a unique experience but i would not stay on Ocean Drive again instead stay in Lincoln drive area which is much more classier and close by
This is my 3rd visit to Dream South Beach since 2015. Been there for Halloween each time (the 10 block long street party at Lincoln Road is a blast). As for Dream South Beach, I have found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and attentive. The Hotel is only on block from the beach and overlooks the Versace Mansion. The rooftop pool is the place to chill after spending several hours on the beach, the rooftop bar is a great place to enjoy a drink before dinner.
The location of the hotel is excellent, with direct beach access. The pool area is so attractive, that in the end we went mostly swimming in the pool, and had lunch on the hotel premises.
We had a room with balcony looking out on the ocean, and the sunrise was just stunning. We enjoyed our stay very much and had every comfort imaginable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again on a future trip to Miami Beach.
The Avalon was exceptional in all areas -- such a great location, friendly and helpful staff (especially at the front desk), wonderfully clean and quiet room (#301 in the corner, with beautiful view), safe and secure atmosphere. The restaurant was incredible as well. My daughter and I agreed that we had the best hotel in South Beach. We will definitely be visiting again!
I loved the resort-style pool, the fact that the hotel was oceanfront and we could easily walk to the beach, the hotel was in the middle of South Beach and Lincoln Road Mall was right there. The hotel was super chic, modern, cute, and made me so happy to be there. Neto at the front desk was very hospitable and immediately made us feel welcome.
Hotel is very basic and the website oversells the reality of the decor etc. There was nowhere to sit in the lounge where you were not confronted by by laundry baskets. The room and bathroom was the best feature of an otherwise insignificant hotel was large and clean though, and the location on Ocean drive is very central to the action
Love the staff at the Betsy! They are the absolute best. The Porter especially. this hotel has this incredible “historic” vibe - almost Hemingway like - while being located prime South Beach - away from the fray, but close to everything and right off the beach. Breakfast is awesome as well. Nighttime music is always a joy.
Excellent hotel located in South Miami beach right on Collins Avenue. Great location for shops on Lincoln Drive and lass than 5mins walk to the beach, which was stunning. The hotel had a shared private beach area with Loews hotel, with towels and beds included, with only a small additional charge for the umbrellas.
Good stay in Miami. The Hotel is near the beach, alot of fast food and restaurants and supermarket. The best of all is it is not too pricey for a stay in South Beach. The free Miami Beach tram is near the establishment and we used it to go to Miami Beach. Room was also spacious and be comfortable.
The hotel was in a quiet area and just a street cross to get the trolley to South Beach or North Beach as well as the airport if you were using public transportation. The hotel was under new management and they are doing best to get things on track. Very accommodating and service friendly.
Helpful staff. Delicious, healthy food. Large, clean room. Perfect location walking distance to the heart of South Beach but just far enough away to be nice and quiet for sleeping (unlike many of the more famous hotels on Ocean Drive). Lovely pool on the roof.
The location, right on Ocean Drive, across the street from the beach (on which the Betsy has a private patch), and just around the corner from Mac's Club Deuce (the best dive bar in Miami), can't be beat. This is the quintessential South Beach hotel.
It is great hotel if you want to be In the middle of the action of south beach, I did not know it will be at the busiest location with a lot of tourists. But hotel has nothing to do with that. They are doing best they can, great service.
everything! hotel was in the best location! probably the best hotel in Miami Beach front. offered lots of think included in the price such as towels and sea chairs and also bicycles. staff super friendly. great pool.
Simple yet clean rooms. Staff are nice. The pool area is lovely. The hotel is in a great location in our opinion as you don't get all the noise/chaos from the main streets in south miami beach.
