The hotel and service were excellent! As soon as I arrived, a lady showed me to my room and a gentleman carried my suitcase up to my room! I really liked this! The lady at the reception was very helpful and gave me a very detailed map of the surrounding area where she marked the main attractions I could go to and indeed I went to them all! She also gave me a list of restaurants in the nearby area, I went to the first one on the list and it was really authentic and the food was delicious! The room was amazing with all the amenities! Very comfortable bed, a great office desk with a great lamp, which I took advantage of as I had to work. The breakfast was very rich and delicious! Just before I left, the lady at the reception booked me a van and gave me two small magnets with Vietnamese figures! I really appreciated it!

I stayed 3 nights in Hanoi but it's not enough especially if you will go for a Ha Long Bay Day cruise. More reasons to come back.
We tried Bún Chả at the Bún Chả Đắc Kim. While it was delicious, they should reduce the quantity of the serving as there is so much wastage. Even the Europeans couldn't finish the servings.
We joined 2 tours - city & food on motorbikes and we loved the experience especially since the weather in Hanoi is milder than in HCMC.
Next time around it would be best to visit during the colder months and do a side trip to Sapa.

Exploring the city's diverse array of bars is a must, each offering its own unique ambiance and selection of drinks to enjoy. Whether indulging in a steaming bowl of pho or sampling fresh seafood delicacies, every meal is a culinary adventure. What truly sets Hanoi apart, however, is its people. Original plan was for 4 nights before Lan Ha Bay 3 day cruise, then 2 or 3 nights after cruise.
Stayed in Hanoi for 3 weeks over 4 hotels, with short trips to Sa Pa and Ninh Binh included, loved it and will return.
This hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Hanoi Old Quarter. Right downstairs there is a famous goose pho shop, and 3 min walk away there is one of the best Banh mi shops. Staff were also very helpful. They called taxis for us, helped us translate food orders, and even told us where to go for a good rate on currency exchange (even though they do currency exchange themselves!) If I could subtract half a point for cleanliness, I would, but, come on, you’re in the middle of the old quarter,...Overall great hotel for a great price
Nice large rooms with large comfortable beds are the main plus of this nice hotel just outside of the Old Quarter. Staff is absolutely lovely. Laundry is excellent and cheap so if you need it on vacation this is the place to do it. About as quiet a place as you can find while being close to all the action. Also nice to come back to a place where the air is clean after wading through the air pollution in Hanoi. Make sure to explore the French Quarter behind the hotel, a bit less busy but still with great local food options.
In the middle of the old quarter of Hanoi, the Hotel is like an oasis of quiet. It has a glamorous interior and beautiful rooms. When we arrived the staff welcomed us, they took their time for our requests and when we told them that it was our last night in Vietnam, we got an upgrade to make it memorable... Awesome of them :)
The restaurant is on the top floor with a great view around the city and the buffet was perfect, It was the best breakfast I had in Vietnam. If you can afford it, go here for a night or two!
I’ve lived in Vietnam for almost 5 years and this was some of the best service I’ve had here. The hotel is brand new and the rooms are beautiful. The staff is amazing and genuinely care about the experience of the guests. It’s in a perfect location to explore the old quarter by foot and about 100 meters from Hoan Kiem lake. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Truly a great experience and wonderful price for the value. If you come to Hanoi come stay at Hotel du LAC!
Staff was extremely nice and caring, very welcoming. Location is in the city center, can't be any more comfortable location in an old quarter.
Breakfast choice wide for European food and Asian food - actually one of the best breakfast we had in Hanoi hotels.
Also, we got a present from the staff before leaving - a Vietnamese coffee filter - we really were looking to buy one cause we loved that type of coffee and we got it as a present - that's lovely;)
We stayed at San Grand Hotel 2 nights and had a great time in Hanoi. We arrived in the morning, but early check-in was no problem for a little fee. Also leaving our backpacks and having a shower after check out was no problem.
The staff was very courteous and asked if everything was all right. Complimentary tea time between 2-5pm in 10th floor with great view and good fruits and cakes, lovely! Varied breakfast and best location in Hanoi's old quarter.
Great location and hotel, my partner and i really enjoyed our stay here, staff were very helpful with advice on hanoi, tours, best places to go and gave us a map into old quarter, we were only a short walk from everything.
Breakfast was great along with our room, which had everything we needed, comfortable bed and a nice little balcony to have a look at the street below, would recommend to anyone visiting hanoi, thank you for having us labevie
Friendly staff and welcome, very helpful when needing to sort out cab. Bed most comfortable and best shower of all the hotels we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Vietnam. Easy, short walk to main part of Old Quarter. Breakfast amazing (had 4 plates worth!). Compared to other hotels in Hanoi we stayed in during our trip, this one was true to its pictures and was in good condition. Would stay in again if we returned to Vietnam.
We stayed for 3 nights during our trip in Hanoi and I would say this is one of the best properties to stay at old quarter. The staff was very friendly and even arranged the room early for us as we arrived early. The hotel is nearby to almost all places in the old quarter. The breakfast spread was nice and staff delivered everything we asked for. Would love to stay here again!!!
This was my first of three hotels in Hanoi. I absolutely loved it. The service was great, the breakfast was lovely, the room was comfortable, and the value was amazing. Not the best view, but you're in the middle of a city, so that is to be expected. I LOVED the location. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We walked EVERYWHERE! I absolutely recommend this hotel!
The personnel is amazing and very helpful, they speak English very well. We got many useful recommendations, Liliane helped us organize our stay in Hanoi and the next trips. We are very grateful! The location of the hotel is the best, close to everything however the street is calmer than others in old quarter. We could leave our luggage after check-out.
It’s a new hotel, the staff is putting a lot of effort on making the experience as nice as possible which we appreciated immensely. The location is perfect, in a beautiful street right in between the old quarter and French quarter. While there are some things to improve finalise, I would recommend it if you are spending a couple of days in Hanoi.
The location is superb - right in the heart of the Old Quarter and walking distance to the French Quarter. The staff are really nice and helpful too. The beds are comfy and the air-conditioning works well but the only downside is the small size of the rooms. This is typical of Hanoi in this area so the hotel can’t really be faulted for that.
The Hotel was a wonderful place to start our holiday in Vietnam. The staff were very friendly, especially Sabi, who was very helpful at reception. The breakfast was very yummy, the staff there very attentive.I would recommend the Lheritage Diamond Hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. , very centrally positioned in the Old Quarter. .
The hotel is perfect position in the old quarter, amazing rooms and showers. The roof top bar is the perfect way too start the date. The staff are the best of all, the kindest and warmest staff I’ve ever seen. Helen, Harry, Selena and Huyền were fantastic, they make our stay even better,
I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hanoi.
Out of all the hotels we stayed in Hanoi, this was the cleanest with no ants. It had the best natural lighting coming through the windows and two full length mirrors. Room was very clean, and nice toiletries. Appreciate there was a bathtub for baths. A bit out of the way edge of old quarter but minutes away from Train Street.
I experienced the best service in Royal Palace hotel. Mr. Jim especially helps me a lot and I got a lot of travel information from him. Also, the hotel is located in the center of Hanoi old quarter, so it's very comfortable to travel by walking.
Hanoi victor Metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of best beautiful and perfect hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Our room was new, clean, good facilities. Hotel staffs was good and very friendly. We loved their rooftop bar & restaurant.
Out of 4 hotels I stayed in Hanoi Old Quarter around this price range this was the best one, and underrated at that.
Friendly staff and good service.
Comfortable bed, free room upgrade and balcony.
Good laundry service too.
