4 Es Paradis is a beautifully appointed two bedroom, two bathroom apartment situated right on the beachfront of the quaint seaside village of La Mercy, a mere 15 minute drive from King Shaka International Airport. As such La Mercy is an ideal gateway to the fascinating Province of KwaZulu-Natal with its rich diversity of beaches, game reserves, mountains and culture. It’s also a perfect stopover for those visiting on business as it is conveniently located to Durban, Umhlanga and Ballito. Situated right on the beach and boasting panoramic sea views, this apartment is a superb choice for those who prefer a tranquil seaside break. The apartment is a duplex with a beautiful open plan master bedroom upstairs and the living area and second bedroom downstairs. The glass doors leading from the living area fold away onto a front patio and garden. The kitchen is superbly equipped for any occasion with 6 elegant table settings. The master bedroom has a King size bed and the second bedroom 2 single beds all dressed in the finest white pure cotton sheeting. Fast unlimited internet service and DSTV compliment the guest experience.

Neighbourhood information

This beautiful section of sandy beach has a shallow inter-tidal zone where the low tides form a myriad of rocky inshore pools. The coastal waters are rich in marine life providing endless shore fishing opportunities and great offshore ski boat and paddle ski fishing. The annual migration of the Humpbacked whales are sighted close inshore from around mid-June right through to the end of November. The annual sardine run in June and July, “The Greatest Shoal on Earth”, is another greatly anticipated migration phenomena here in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Although not predictable and not always reaching La Mercy, this “the largest bio-mass migration on the planet” is a must see when it does occur and La Mercy is well located as a base from which to experience it. Walking along the beach you will almost always be entertained by spectacles of dolphins playing in the surf and the whales breaching in season. The Umdloti River mouth opens to the sea when the rains come and in between forms a wide deep lagoon ideal for stand up paddle boarding, canoeing and kitesurfing.
