My partner and I enjoyed our little getaway. It was our second time here. The facilities were immaculately clean and tidy.. the barbeque area was clean and the pool was an added bonus.. the gardens were well tended to.. the spa bath was amazing.. the bathroom had all the necessary amenities.. thank you to the host..

The Harmony Haven Couples Retreat is a 4-Star graded establishment, has 3 self-catering units where guests can relax and unwind while the world rushes by. For this reason, no babies, toddlers or children under 18 are allowed. Each private unit is very spacious and has lovely sea views. All the units have been upgraded and refurbished with air-cons and king size beds. Each unit has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, lounge and dining area, kitchen, private balcony with sea views, full DSTV. Guests are welcome to use the Braai area or relax in the splash pool that has a comfortable seating ledge with jets. Each unit is allowed a maximum of 2 adult day visitors (no babies, toddlers, children allowed) who may not sleepover. For security reasons, the office needs to be notified when guests are expected. We look forward to having you stay at Harmony Haven Couples Retreat.
Harmony Haven Couples Retreat was a brilliant idea that had been started by the previous owners. We took their idea and modified it and transformed the garden to provide a relaxing place for guests to retreat to away from the hustle and bustle. In today' hectic world, couples live past each other and there are so many demands on their time with family, relatives, pets, work commitments etc that they often never get any time to spend together and they grow apart. When we bought HHCR there were 2 self-catering units and we added a third unit. Our spacious units are fully air-conditioned, have wifi and full DStv and there are 2 braai areas and a splash pool. We have a min of 2 nights so that couples can relax a bit and spend some quality time with their partner. We have worked solidly for nearly 4 years to make HHCR the place it is today and our guests love staying here because we are close to everything but we are also private and there are no kids running around so couples can really relax and have uninterrupted conversation or meal. The highlight of our stay here was 7 January 2020 when we were graded by the SA tourism association and awarded 4 stars in the self-catering.
Doonside is a lovely area of the South Coast. It is not as busy as Durban, but it is very central to various places. We have a variety of beautiful beaches that you can enjoy. Warnerdoone Beach (1,6km, the road is windy so sea view is much closer), Warner Beach (2,5km away), Winklespruit Beach (5km away), Amanzimtoti Beach and Splash Water World (5km away). Seadoone Mall is a mere 500m away from Harmony Haven Couples Retreat and has Woolworths Food, Checkers, various shops, a bank, medical centre, Coffee Shop, popular takeaways and a bottle store. Galleria Mall is 6,5km away and has an ice rink, cinema, go-karts, bingo, all the major restaurants, retail stores as well as speciality stores and banks. For those that enjoy exploring, you can travel further down the South Coast and visit Umkomaas and Aliwal Shoal (20km away) and go shark cage or deep-sea diving.
