We had a wonderful experience at Makweti for 3 nights. The lodge is beautifully designed, and feels very traditional yet modern. The room was exceptionally comfortable with a gorgeous deck, indoor and outdoor showers and super comfortable bed. The staff were absolutely amazing - Joseph and Byron took fantastic care of us from dawn until after sundown. The food was above and beyond my expectations - varied, healthy, fresh and balanced for every single meal. The game drives were fantastic and lasted 3 hours twice per day. We saw 4 of 5 of the Big Five in our 3 day stay. I would absolutely love to stay at Makweti again.

The lodge offers luxurious accommodation as well as an on-site restaurant. Each of the 5 suites at Makweti have a private entrance and feature a balcony or patio offering views across the gorge-defined valley and hills. The private bathrooms come with a shower, bath and bathrobes. Extras include a minibar and a seating area. At Makweti Safari Lodge you will find an outdoor swimming pool, and guests can relax on the lodge's open lounge and viewing deck, 80 yards from the stream-fed waterhole. The lodge also offers free WiFi and rates include 2 safaris in open vehicles daily. Bela-Bela is within a 2-hour drive of the lodge.
