The beautiful scenery, the absolute tranquility. Ability to see the river from the lounge. Room was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. Michelle was ontop of everything from my 1st booking until our departure. What an amazing time.

Serenity is a hidden jewel on the banks of the Vaal River. The most magnificent sunsets can be admired while sitting on the deck of the Loft. There is also extensive bird life and many people enjoy fishing in a peaceful surrounding. Serenity Guesthouse is situated in the heart of the Gold Reef Mining area, only 13 kms from Orkney, making it a perfect stay-over for reps, technicians and businessmen working temporarily at the surrounding mines.
Serenity is a small family business, run by myself. I am the daughter of the owners and also live on the property, ensuring I am always available and hands-on. I am an artist in my spare time and also have a small honey business. I enjoy the privacy and space that our property offers and I love the interaction with all our guests.
The beauty of Serenity is that it is about 20 minutes from the nearest town, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Wawiel Park, an outdoor resort is only 20 minutes away, also on the banks of the river. There are also many beautiful wedding venues in the area. For entertainment and arts, Potchefstroom is only 40 minutes up the road.
