The guest house is very conveniently situated, just off the Main Road, which made access to the N2 very easy. The breakfast was delicious and almost more than I could manage. Jenny was very helpful and friendly and the use of the lounge in the evening felt like home.

Beautiful setting.
Beautiful setting.
Demand to settle the bill, which was already paid via booking.com spoiled the whole good experience. As we were in hurry, i couldn't check and the manageress on duty insisted on payment, which supposedly she didn't receive. therefore i paid double and never received the credit.

The quaint village of Sedgefield offers a variety of little shops as well as a number of really good eating places all within easy walking distance. Beaches great for swimming and long walks. It is also very close to other towns on the Garden Route like Knysna, Wilderness and George.

Very sorted town when it comes to shops and restaurants.
Very sorted town when it comes to shops and restaurants. The beach is very close and the town is reasonably priced. Close enough to nature to make you feel like you've left the city behind
LOADSHEDDING!!! Brace yourself as it can put a damper on your evening especially, because most places close by 8pm. so pack your board games and powerbanks.

Place is beautiful, well kept clean, housekeeping is tops, staff is friendly and honest
Bedding and towels gets changed daily
The scenery is beautiful its really well managed
I think adding wifi will be a great bonus with Netflix and YouTube... Didn't enjoy TV channels and the food at the kiosk was so cheap
It was easy to get around there was fridge magnet with places to eat and go see
We went to Swartvlei, Knysna, Plett, Tsitsikamma, The Heights...
It was lovely staying here. Clean, tidy, all our comforts were met. I forgot my earrings there and called the same day we left to speak to the owner. I was duly assisted by both the owner and the friendly Mrs Min who found the items and delivered it to my family in Sedgefield. I am very satisfied with their honesty, kindness and professional service. They treated me as family.. Thank you Linda and Mrs Min!!!!
Also glad that there were enough extra blankets as it was an exceptionally cold weekend.
There are many things to love about this great boutique hotel but I would especially highlight the following:
- easy access to both Knysna and George,
- the tranquility of the property (away from the traffic noise of the N2 and perched on a hilltop by itself),
- the aerial views of the mountains and estuary below
- friendly, attentive, and professional staff,
- a generous and fresh daily breakfast.
My wife and I will definitely be returning!
I was in such awe of this amazing find, highly recommendable and we as a family of 4 have decided it will always be a 1 night or hopefully next time a 2 night stay on our way out of Sedgefield. It is the perfect setting to just relax unwind and get lost in the views. We stayed only for 1 night but what a magical way to end our Holiday.
What a wonderful place to stay over in Sedgefield.
A really well cared property...garden and cottages and main house.
Thoughtful touches all over..from milk in the fridge to a vase with flowers..
A sense of pleasing the guest with loaded qualiy equipment in abundance.
At this price level...for me...top marks

The location of the beach cabanas is excellent, right on the beach front. I really liked the rustic feel, friendly staff and the food was heavenly. The dinner was large meals and even the kiddies were catered for. (Very sticky eaters). Overall, a great experience and convenient for 1 night stopover venue.
Epic stay with by far the best views in Sedgefield. Everything was clean and neat! Well equipped kitchen with a microwave, kettle, fridge and a gas stove. Outdoor braai with the best view of all! I will not stay anywhere else in sedgefield! It feels a lot like glamping! Hope we will be back soon!
Milkwood Cottage is right on the beach road, with just a short walk to a wide pristine beach. The cottage is freshly renovated and comfortably furnished. Our host was very accommodating considering our late booking and checkin. We felt welcome and safe!
The location was great. The rooms well set out and super clean, The breakfast was great too! Friendly hosts Paul and Joy and super value for money - a definite option for anyone needing a stop over in Sedgefield or a base from which to explore the area.
It was an absolute privilege to have extensive views of the vlei and enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The free use of the paddleboat was an enjoyable highlight! It is secluded, yet only a short drive back over the hill into Sedgefield.
Close proximity, walking distance to shops.
The beauty of Sedgefield.
Forest backdrop to Village Mews.
Quiet complex, no disturbance from neighbours.
The upstairs private balcony.
Layout of the apartment.
Everything was exceptional. The house, the views and the area. The hosts Karen and Jürgen were lovely. When we return to Sedgefield we will definitely stay there again. We highly recommend Dover on Sea.
The location was perfect and the apartment had everything that one would need to enjoy a stay in Sedgefield. It was a lovely place to stay for the weekend and I will definitely be back!
