I loved everything about Durban, Ushaka Merine, Wilson Wharf boat cruising, the North Beach, it was fun and refreshing, the food was great. Transportation with ubers was efficient taking me wherever I wanted to go, they helped me a lot especially it was my first time in Durban, didn't know any place. I will be coming back soon to visit other attractions.

The city is littered with a lot of people begging at robots and intersections. The big malls in the outlying areas were great, but would did not feel comfortable and safe in the city and surrounding areas at all.
The hosts, Robyn and Steve were amazing! Greeted us with a warm welcome upon our arrival, and made us feel at home immediately. The room(s) and facilities are very well-kept, clean, and are organised with any essentials that you might need. The area is very quiet. Tucked away in Durban North, it's well-located if you need to pop in and out of Durban for business, or even if you're looking at heading up north towards Umhlanga/Ballito for beach time.
Entire property and rooms beautifully decorated. It was quiet and private. Even though there was a function downstairs the noise did not reach my room. It’s not on the beach but is quite central to both Durban & Umhlanga. The views from my balcony and our table at breakfast were stunning. Vegetarian(halal) breakfast omelette was delicious.
Stayed again at City Lodge still love the central location of the premises, Gateway is across the road, numerous restaurants to enjoy, for myself the bathroom is the one of the most important rooms (Spacious, Clean, Comfortable)
The room felt nostalgic to older resorts down the south coast, felt very comfortable.
The hotel is centrally located and it is in close proximity to a number of attractions such as Gateway Mall, Restaurants, Umhlanga Beach etc. The room was clean and decent. Overall the hotel is in good condition. The Buffet had some tasty options.
Loved the balcony area and the comfortable, clean bed. Loved the location, suburban, safe and central to Durban CBD, Umhlanga. Loved the kitchen, nice big fridge, cutlery was available. Sea view. Everything was amazing.
Location is excellent especially when you want to really shop until the Gateway Mall closes and walk to your bed instead of driving. The hotel is almost next to everything around uMhlanga Rocks, Ballito and Durban.
Staff was welcoming and cater for our needs ASAP. safe parking but was not mentioned during booking that there will be extra pay. Apartment is within the shops and near the beach.
Hospitality was okay and fantastic and the stuff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean including the breakfast is so yummy l like the hotel is near the beach
The hotel is located near the beach, shops are nearby. The staff is friendly, to place is sparkling neat, we loved and enjoyed our stay. We definitely coming back ❤️❤️❤️🙂
The property is very central to every attraction that can be found around Durban.
Staff was very friendly.
The buffet had various foods that were mouthwatering.
