We stayed at the Refúgio for a weekend and we were the only guests on the site. Ana Ligia and her family welcomed us with open arms and did everything in their power to make us feel like home. The lodge is, as stated, quite rustic – so not for everyone. But for those who enjoy nature and being somewhere outside of the busy city life of Manaus, it's perfect. We especially loved the breakfast with açaí and lots of fresh fruit and the fish that Ana Ligia made for lunch. As a hostess, she also helped us when we missed our boat to get to the Refúgio and helped us as well on our way back. We really enjoyed our stay and, if we're in Manaus again, would definitely stay again!

My husband doesnt speak Portuguese and the reception staff make him feel very welcomed by speaking English and trying their best to communicate. Their Pitaya Gin and Tonic cocktail is amazing! One of the best G&T I ever had Rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good and offered a good variety. We had dinner there once and it was also really good for the price
