The location was fantastic, right next to the inner city. The room was decorated in a surprising style with a stylish tub, nicely decorated walls. Heating was comfy, just like the bath tub, and with outside temperatures of -10 C that was pleasant. Staff at the reception were super-kind and helpful throughout my stay.

They gym was great and the pool was better than I anticipated. The main restaurant Il Teatro was incredible. The food and staff and wine/cocktails were great. I loved every moment and will be back. Sweet boutique hotel in a perfect location! We were able to park on arrival- and then walked everywhere for the next 3 days. Older but well kept property. There is no elevator- so request a lower level room if stairs are difficult for you. All the staff were friendly & helpful - even got us dinner reservations in hard to get into restaurants! Highly recommend.

On the upside: the bed was comfortable, the room was cosy, and the linens were clean. The new restaurant, successor to Chez Jules and Pain Béni, smelled wonderful. The staff were pleasant, but apparently were working not just at the Auberge, but at several other inns (we wonder if a chain has been buying up some of the independents?). That limits the personal feel.

The hotel is modern and has innovative features like self check in. We really enjoyed the modern tvs with casting ability, the nice coffee machine and the free 3 day bus pass. The location is fantastic and for the price paid, it was a good value compared to other options in the area.
