Although situated in an isolated position, It was conveniently close to York and other places we wished to visit. Our room was a good size and comfortable, with a hot shower and comfy bed. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful in booking taxis etc for us. There is a large car park to the rear which is large enough for a 3.5 ton horsebox. We normally stay at the Premier Inn which was full and resulted in us finding this hotel - the Angle & Royal is much more pleasant and comfortable and will be our regular hotel when visiting Aren UK in the future.
