Situated in the centre of the highland resort of Pitlochry, The Old Mill Inn is a 5-minute walk from Pitlochry rail station and many high street shops. Free parking is available on site.

Free Wi-Fi, an en suite shower room and a flat-screen TV are featured in each room at The Old Mill Inn. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.

Both the inn and associated restaurant were exceptionally comfortable, with notable excellence by staff. The plentiful staff were very friendly and enthusiastically helpful, and we observed the same attitude in the way the staff treated each other. My emails advising of our arrival time, requesting a dinner reservation and asking about parking received almost immediate response. The food was delicious, both dinner and the included breakfast. But the real take-away, beyond a very comfortable lodging and food experience was the exceptional service attitude beyond what we have encountered elsewhere (and the Scots’ friendly nature already sets a high bar for comparison). We attribute this to very good management at this property. The facilities also exceeded expectations: the room was very comfortable, light, fresh, thoughtfully designed and well stocked with amenities. We booked this accommodation for its convenience as we were driving between a day of golf at St. Andrews and our destination in Inverness and it is among the best we have stayed at on our trip in Scotland.

On the banks of the River Tay, situated at the Grandtully rapids, this family-friendly inn is surrounded by scenic Perthshire countryside. It has a stunning riverside restaurant serving a menu using local ingredients and a relaxing bar with a welcoming wood-burning stove.

We absolutely loved the Inn on the Tay, the location next to the river Tay is amazing, the room (we had a family room number 5) was very cosy and super clean and nicely decorated, which made us feel like home immediately. The beds were super for chilling and the bar and restaurant were charming and very 'gezellig '. We liked to take a drink and played some games with the family. The owners and personnel were all very sweet, relaxt and helpful. The walk along their river with the dogs was nice and challenging for the dogs by jumping over the rocks.

Ideally situated for exploring the Perthshire Highlands, the Moulin Hotel offers free WiFi, a restaurant serving home-cooked food and real ale produced in the hotel’s own micro brewery. This family-friendly hotel sits just 3/4 of a mile away from Pitlochry and features a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort.

First opened in 1695 the original Moulin Inn is the oldest part of the hotel, with two log fires and stocked with Real ales produced in the hotel’s own Micro Brewery.

Absolutely picturesque. The pub had great food and beer. All of the staff were kind and accommodating. We missed breakfast the next day because we slept in (breakfast is served until 9:30) but they were lovely, we ate from the buffet, and they gave us toast. The area outside the breakfast area is wedding worthy. I would stay here again and again.

Looking for an inn?

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

The Ballinluig Rooms are in a great location, just south of Pitlochry and just off the A9. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the bathroom clean (although the shower was a bit of a tight squeeze for my broadband shoulders). The welcome was friendly and helpful. We were warned in advance that no breakfasts or dinners were available, which wasn't a huge problem as there is a nice diner a few yards up the road. The room was slightly warm and muggy (because the weather was warm and muggy). Overall, a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

The accommodation was fantastic. Fantastic location you would never know you were so close to the main street. Seen red squirrels while having breakfast which was great. Dinner at night was outstanding. The staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment we booked. Fantastic place to stay.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and well-appointed, and the inn was located off the busy street. We lived listening to the water fall all night.

If you are staying in Pitlochry you should definitely choose Beinn Bhracaigh! It’s a warm, comfortable and stylishly decorated guesthouse located in a quiet street not too far from the main part of town. It has everything needed for a restful stay and the staff are engaging and helpful. Highly recommended.

We went away for the weekend love the area for walking around. Can't fault the Guest house couple who own it are amazing friendly people who care about there Guests good value for money breakfast was amazing. I actually lost my bank card in the street and the Owner found it and phone me as we were out for Dinner that evening. We arrived back at the Guest house and the owner knocked on the door and handed me my bank card back. Was so grateful that it was the owner who found it.

Rosehill Guest house was the perfect place for our overnight stay on route to the highlands. John was very friendly and helpful making sure we were sorted for dinner on our arrival, he goes above and beyond. Our room was really comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast (full Scottish) was the best, with only the best quality products keeping us full for the rest of the day! We loved it so much we stayed again on our return journey.
