They treated me exceptionally well. I went as part of a birthday present that was gifted to me and they gave me a free upgrade to a better room, with views of St Mary’s Church. The food was incredibly good. The room was really spacious and nicely furnished, very clean, all in all whoever designed the interiors has really good taste. I had to drop my bags before the check in and they took them straight to my room, something that not even in most 5 star hotels I’ve been fortunate enough to stay they would do, they also allowed me to leave my bags for a couple of hours after checkout free of charge, something rare from my experience with UK hotels. I can honestly say, and there’s barely 2-3 hotels I’d say this about this in my whole life, I can’t wait to be back!

The hotel itself, built in an old house is nice and cozy. The room was small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, they helped us with our luggage, and explained us patiently how to get around the town. We also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and a good breakfast the next day.

When we arrived in the hotel for the check-in we were welcomed by the receptionist in an exceptionally nice way, which made us feel at home straight away! Very pleasant and refurbished rooms, better than expected, the more so since the rating of the hotel was only 7.4 - 7.8. I think it deserves a 9! Breakfast and dinner in the hotel were very good. Many small areas with sofa's to seat in the hotel. On the whole a lovely old Georgian building.

The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The inn is in the city centre, just a walking distance to the castle and other sightseeings. Parking is free and next to the building. We didn't have dinner there but it looked like a good menu. Far better than the chain hotel we stayed in the previous two nights up north!

The room was well equipped with everything we could need, decor was tasteful and the shower was divine!
