The on-site restaurant serves breakfast and Swiss and international dishes. the view from the hotel was exceptional, the owners were incredible, very friendly and always with a smile. they even drove us back to the city the next day. make sure to have dinner there, as it was amazing. the room was very clean and spacious

Surrounded by hills and mountains, the family-run Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggerstanden occupies a historic building, a 10-minute drive from the centre of Appenzell.

It features a restaurant with a summer terrace, serving Swiss and international cuisine. The restaurant is closed on Monday evenings, on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays. Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

It offers free Wi-Fi and wired internet access, a breakfast buffet, and a charging station for electric car. We loved everything about this property, accommodations, the location, staff, Mathias was exceptional… proud of his 7th generation property and it was evident! Best location in Appenzell!

The cosy, wood-panelled rooms at the Waldgasthaus Lehmen all have a modern bathroom. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Situated 1.5 km from the Schwende ski lift and 3 km from the Ebenalp ski lift, Loosmühle features a bakery, a snack bar and a café on site. Wi-Fi in the entire property and private parking are both provided for free. Newly remodeled and beautiful room!Breakfast and staff were superb! Don’t forget to pick up something from the in house bakery!

Surrounded by a park with a sunbathing lawn and a playground, the palace-style Hotel Restaurant Belvedere enjoys a quiet location in Weissbad. It offers free Wi-fi and mountain views.

All rooms have a private bathroom and a satellite TV. They provide views of the Appenzell Alps or of the village. The location was ideal. The owner and his wife and staff were very kind and helpful.

The hotel offers guests a wellness area with a sauna area, an outdoor hot tub, a relaxation room with views to the valley, and an indoor swimming pool with a hydro-flow system and views of the Appenzell landscape and the Voralberg Alps. The view was amazing, room was so comfortable and the entire property was beautiful! The staff was so kind and welcoming too!
