Head of the River

Oxford City Centre, Oxford

Just a few minutes’ walk from Oxford city centre, the Head of the River is situated on the banks of the scenic River Thames. This traditional inn features a riverside terrace and a stylish restaurant.

The elegant bedrooms are individually decorated, and some have river views. All rooms feature a TV and a private modern bathroom with free toiletries. Guests will find bathrobes and slippers in some rooms. We expected that the hotel would be quite noisy, especially as we had a room beside the beer garden and close to the road. However this was never an issue. We also thought the hotel may have been a bit far from the High street, but it was an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. And to stroll along the river was quite idyllic.
