The spacious rooms have a patio with views of the Southern Alps. We were made very welcome by the owner, the room was very clean, the wet room was excellent with constant hot water. We had a lovely meal on our last night in the restaurant.

No Bike hire available anymore due to the company closing through Covid 19 pandemic. Operating since 1865, the Gladstone Hotel is an historic Hotel with much charm set in a small town. Pub and restaurant downstairs and quiet rooms upstairs. The host Karen was wonderful. Rooms are perfect for one person. I had no complaints especially the price for staying there.
