Situated in Järvsö Village, by the River Ljusnan, this family-run hotel offers regional cuisine, a large garden and a 9-hole golf course. Guests enjoy free WiFi and outdoor pool during the summer months. The indoor spa is available at a reduced rate for hotel guests. Jarvsobaden is Old World charm that delivers exquisite customer service. Beautiful property- flower-filled outdoor seating areas, elegant sitting rooms for rainy days. Generous, tasty breakfast. Evening meal was usually very good, served in a simple but elegant room with linen tablecloths and fresh flowers. Lots of gluten free items, and the hotel makes their own gluten free bread! This hotel was very clean. Our room was small, but the fun of this place was experiencing a hotel that seems from a bygone era- a refreshing return to genteel civility. We loved this place and the entire professional staff. Staff will cheerfully help you with any travel needs. And do book the massage with Petra Steiner. This stay rejuvenated us for the rest of our busy travels.

Situated next to Storsjön Lake, this inn is less than 2 km from central Forsbacka and 15 minutes’ drive from Sandviken. It offers a restaurant with a bar and furnished terrace. Gävle city centre is a 15-minute drive away. Forsbacka Wärdshus offers free WiFi in all rooms. Johan was a delight, he went out of his way to make us comfy. . The property was historic and very interesting. The surrounding area was gorgeous.

Very welcoming staff in this Historical European Hotel ! Very good breakfast with fresh orange juice, very nice dinner (3 or 5 courses buffet) with a special price for children. Great location to reach Harsa cross-country skiing area by car, also possible to do down hill skiing or cross country in the village. Nice village with a train access.

It was a very nice hotel, with many antiques and a cozy atmosphere. I liked the spa and fresh orange juice you can make for breakfast and they had good dinners.

I traveled to Hudiksval for business and I stayed in Strandpiren. It has been a good choice. Fantastic scenery right in front of the water, warm environment and forniture, good restaurant for dinner

Delightful cottage on the water thoughtfully renovated by the owner. The cottage is comfortable and has a great feel. We were able to cook dinner and enjoy the deck - it was very relaxing. We used the little boat for a run out to the sea which gave us a glimpse of coastal life in Sweden - we really enjoyed staying here.

A stay in rural Sweden, on a 400-year old farm. Sounds idyllic? It is. Rooms are very comfortable, restaurant/cafè exceeded expectations, and having a chat with the owner after dinner and breakfast was quite enjoyable.

We stayed three nights at ForRest and it was absolutely wonderful. The house has everything needed including information about things to see and to do nearby. Lena was there to welcome us at the beginning and explained everything. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, you feel like a part of the Forest but there is still lots to see and do. The time was very special to us and we would love to come back someday.

Gorgeous place in a beautiful location. The owners are lovely and the dinner was absolutely delicious. We travelled with our 4 month old daughter and it worked perfectly well. Great place to stay either when passing through or while visiting Järvsö.
