it’s a beautiful cottage, filled with thoughtful additions to make our stay enjoyable. Matt and Ginny left Derbyshire pancakes and honey for us, as well as tea, milk, coffee …and a coffee machine. We all loved the hot tub, and the special towels and slippers made it extra special. My daughter arrived first, on foot in the dark and was a little lost, but Matt rang her to help her find her way and met her at the cottage. Lots of logs, comfy beds and squishy carpets made this a lovely place to stay and we would happily return. our dog doesn’t go on sofas etc but there are rugs just to protect little furry friends, as well.

Accommodation was in a quiet just outside room with ensuite which we actually liked as rather charming. Very good shower and comfortable beds, plenty of space for storage of clothes etc and good coffee/tea facilities, including delicious biscuits. Good bathroom toiletries. I had a warm welcome and the room exceeded expectations. The bed was really comfortable, there was lots of space for bags and bits, and nice touches such as fresh flowers. The bathroom was also great - very clean, hot water and useful little extras like shower caps and face cloths. There was a generous helping of tea, coffee etc. and breakfast was very comprehensive and delicious.

Plenty of parking. Spacious room, with a lovely sofa and TV area and a smart bathroom. We enjoyed eating in and making the most of the restaurant: the food was very good - breakfasts and dinners.
