Starting from the lovely Noelia at the reception who first checked me in to the hotel, every person I've met there was very professional, respectful and clearly there for ensuring a nice stay for the guests, and everyone seemed to work with joy. The restaurant was AMAZING. I felt so pampered during the 2 nights I could stay there! As I usually prefer to stay in historical places during my vacations, I would not have chosen this hotel if I didn't have to. But thankfully I did and for sure if I ever go back to the area, I won't stay elsewhere. Seriously, dear Attica 21, if I managed to keep some good memories from Galicia after all the craze that happened, it's thanks to you! Great management, great team. Thank you very much! <3

San Francisco Monumento is a historic monastery with an indoor pool and hot tub. This charming hotel is located in the centre of Santiago de Compostela, 150 metres from the famous Cathedral.

Rooms at the hotel are spacious and elegant. They all have a minibar and a flat-screen TV. Free internet access is also available. Rooms also have air conditioning and heating. This was a lovely hotel, tastefully adapted from the original building and still attached to a beautiful church. It is a very close to the Cathedral Square - just a couple minutes walk; in fact, I would often return to the hotel to drop things off or to make a quick bathroom break and be back in the square in no time. However, this hotel is not in densely stacked bars and restaurants so it was quite quiet at night despite the superb location. The street from the Cathedral to the hotel has a number of souvenir and food options, but honestly there were much better options elsewhere. Use the fact that it is close enough to explore the rest of the town and you will be happier.

Set within the Ribiera Sacra region and by the Miño and Sil Rivers, this converted monastery boasts a fabulous spa and beautiful central courtyard. Enjoy regional cuisine in the fine dining room and relax in the gardens. The history of the monastery was amazing. Restaurant and bar facilities were very good and food was delicious. Front Desk staff very helpful in all regards.

Pazo Los Escudos has a seasonal outdoor pool. The Club de Agua Spa has a spa bath, sauna, a heated indoor pool (belongs to the spa circuit and has to be paid), and hammam. The property is stunning, and our room was way beyond our expectations. It was enormous with a very large terrace facing the water. The space felt truly luxurious. The staff was incredibly friendly.

A terrace is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Paula is such a wonderful, friendly and helpful host, which has gone to great length to satisfy our needs. On one day taxi couldn't be brought up so she offered herself to drive us to our destination so we don't come late. She also helped us with bus lines and list of city sights. Apple pie was delicious and coffee was always ready :) Overall, place is cozy, very clean and nicely decorated. It's a bit outside of the Santiago town but you get quiet and undisturbing environment. p.s. Nano (dog) is so cute. :)
