The hosts were so gracious and helpful. They took the time to make suggestions of what to do on the island, explained how the buses work and even arranged a dinner reservation with transfer for us. The view and facilities were also unmatched. The cleanest resort I've been to but stills feels personable and homey. I would come back here over and over again.

White 1903 is located very good. It takes you 5 minutes walk to get to the bus stop, Forio port, shops and restaurants. There is a terrace with a wonderful view at the rooftop with 24h access. Deluxe room is not big, very clean, the bed is comfortable and towels were changed every day. Umberto is very polite and helpful and is always accessable on the phone. Kind, welcoming and helpful host in Ernesto. Attentive and informative, making sure that you were enjoying your stay, being very patient with my terrible Italian, suggesting places to go and things to see and even taking time to explain the humble beginnings of the hotel and his family’s involvement. Getting to the hotel very straight forward, despite being opposite the main ‘hubs’ of the island, owing to the excellent public transport. Room very comfortable with all of the basic amenities, cleaned to a high standard every morning whilst you dine on the excellent breakfast in the beautiful gardens. My visit was the end of April/beginning of May, so for the majority of my stay it felt like I was the only guest! Maronti Beach on the south side of the island felt similarly deserted. This is no criticism, it was absolutely perfect for me but worth mentioning for other guests that may want more hustle and bustle or for other solo travellers who may feel uncomfortable. I won’t put it in the negatives because it’s absolutely understandable, but dinner wasn’t served for the duration of my stay (one week). A slight disappointment as I had heard very good things about the dinners but, as explained by Ernesto, servings don’t start until higher season when it can be justified. To clarify, the booking was for B & B, so I can’t complain. I will definitely return to experience the food. There are plenty of excellent food options a very short walk from the hotel, along the beach front, so nothing lost ultimately. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for my first visit to this amazing part of the Word, one I hope to return to.
