So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

It was very well equipped. It was lovely to sit on the terrass, but many stairs to walk. The flat belonged to a very nice family. Thank you!

At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

It is one of the most peaceful places we have been and the view from our patio was so serene. Everything about the hotel is first class. The meals with wine pairings were outstanding and Beatrix presented a wonderful and informing wine tasting. A stay like this in the USA would have been over $1000 a night so this was a great value.

Great to have a full kitchen to make our own food, and the breakfast was divine!

The pool is small, but tor us, being almost all the time alone there, was more than enough. The staff was very nice and helpful, always smiling and present. The breakfast was delicious, various freshly made home made cakes being available, with fresh orange juice and croissants. We will surely be back, thank you for your treat!
