The gave us an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi tub (of course, the jacuzzi tub didn't work but you get what you pay for right?). Front desk staff were nice, as were the bar staff. Breakfast in room or in the courtyard. Ok wifi. Decent AC.

Incompetent and not even honest!! Avoid.
The safe in my room didn't work - and wasn't even attached to anything(!) Two people at reception told me that they would send somebody to fix it, but nobody did.
I had to stay again in the hotel the following week - because they don't do refunds, annoyingly. The reception person told me that a their room s gave a working safe. She then gave me a key for a room.... which already had somebody in it!!
When they gave me a different room, it had no safe at all.
Reception told me that they could give me a discount because of all this. She didn't. She said that she would get some solution / récompense from management. Several hours later, they hadn't.
Hence I think that they're not even honest / trustworthy: they just say stuff without acting on it.

Beautiful and unique African architecture with amazing pool, very helpful staff and suitably decorated and maintained rooms. All inclusive breakfast was very nice with fresh, tropical, local fruits daily, omelette station and other choices including fresh fruit juices.

Lovely small hotel with a homely feel but we also felt very secure there. Comfy beds. It's in a quiet location but there are many bars and restaurants within a short walk and it's very safe to walk around even at night. The staff were great, and Francette in particular deserves a special mention for making us feel so welcome.
