Be aware of the closure times.
Be aware of the closure times. We bought a combined ticket at Musee d'Orsay, only to find the Orangerie, like the Louvre was closed that day, even though you would think it would keep the same hours as Musee d'Orsay. Fabulous bookstore here!

Musee de l'Orangerie is also a must-see if you love Monet
Musee d'Orsay to see many famous art works. Followed by a day (at least) at the Louvre, not only to see the Mona Lisa, but exploring the other wings of the building. Musee de l'Orangerie is also a must-see if you love Monet.

All-time favorites are the Musee de L'Orangerie (which has Monet's paintings of water lilies specifically made for this museum) and the Musee D'Orsay (a museum that was formerly a train station)
