Claimed Ben Nevis with my daughter. Fantastic views and weather though a bit icy and snowy at the top. I wish they would keep dogs off the mountain as some very irresponsible owners made it unsafe for others.

pricey to get the cart up and really disappointing to see how aged the carts are and dirty. Lack of information for visitors and staff just stand around chatting - whoever runs it needs to be replaced tomorrow!

You can view and photograph Ben Nevis from Corpach, which is a train-stop away, or 3 miles by road. You may have to return a day or two later, because the peak is often covered in low-cloud and mist. After 12 noon is the best time, because of the position of the sun. You can also see the Jacobite Steam Train at Corpach & Fort William. To ride on it you need to book up the previous October. I didn’t climb Ben Nevis because the view is only clear 1 day in 12, but good luck if you go for it!!

Stunning to look at. The start of climbing it is 2 miles from the centre. Take good walking gear for sun rain and snow. The cloud comes down fast with rain then leaves and it’s sunny. Good walking boots.

Beatiful views of the mountain from Fort William and climbing possible most of the year. There is a Ski Lift which operates in good weather and gives access to get nearer to the top of the mountain without climbing. This was not possible when we stayed in April as the weather, although not that cold was damp and very misty. There are lots of local distilleries to visit if you enjoy whisky. The city is small and has nice restuarants. Loval hotels get booked up very quickly so book early in the year to avoid disappointment.

if travelling when hot (like we did) take extra water and food supplies. The trek up and down is very hard and very tiring. I had cramps an hour from the summit, So my advice is to train and get fitter before attempting to climb. Definitely need good walking shoes and comfortable clothing. Took us 8hrs and 30mins. set off early so that you can come back in good light. good luck

The apartment was very clean and everyone who I stayed with was impressed with everything. The location is unreal looking out the kitchen window to a big lake and snow covered mountains, the apartment is a very short drive to Ben Nevis, very short walk to town and supermarkets, literally everyone mentioned how comfy the beds were and the host was very friendly and messaged us to check everything was to our satisfaction. 10/10 hope to stay there again next time im in the area.

This is an excellent Hotel which we would visit again. It's in a lovely location with wonderful views across to Ben Nevis. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a superior room which had a balcony. We can imagine that in the summer the view from the Balcony would allow you to see the boats going through the canal. An ideal place to sit, with a glass of wine, on a warm summer's evening. We had both Breakfast and Evenings meals which were superb. The couple who managed the Hotel were very friendly and pleasant. Plenty Parking.

We spent Christmas in Fort William last year and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The apartment is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from town and not far from Ben Nevis. We loved the place because it was warm and has a lovely decor. We had everything we needed and our hosts were wonderful. We'd love to return there in the summer.

The room was great - bed was extremely comfortable and I was glad there was good air conditioning, it was mini heatwave whilst I was there. Great location as well, as close to walk to main part of town and close to Ben Nevis too. Most of the staff in the hotel were great - very friendly and attentive.

Surely the best location of any accommodation on our trip. The views from around the hotel are quite incredible, motivated us to go up to the first checkpoint of Ben Nevis twice! However the highlight of our stay was surely eating dinner at the incredible inn, and listening to the live music being played. It was like being in a medieval D&D fantasy dream! The food was great too!

Nice apartment with view of Ben Nevis. It's not far from the Nevis Range resort with a cable car going up the neighboring mountain, a nice (level) walk to the Ben Nevis viewpoint, and amazing bike rides down the mountain. Easy parking - the owners run an interesting restaurant in Fort William called 'The Geographer'. Five minutes drive into Fort William, going past an Aldi, M&S, and Home Bargains on a small retail park.

We immediately loved this one room apartment. Not specially large, but very well and nicely arranged and equipped with all you could need to spend two nice nights ! The location, just a few meters far from the shore of Loch Linnhe, is great, with a nice walk way along the shore, just under the Ben Nevis ! And very calm... Perfect to discover the rich Fort William area.

Peaceful location and a very spacious Hostel. Was able to have everything I would want or request. Almost felt like a hotel, very ideal for access to Ben Nevis and the entire glen. The staff were wonderful, helpful with laid-back friendliness. Good thing to do is stay there for long periods as you can self-cater in the kitchen.
