Magical for children to see all the lights.

Magical for children to see all the lights. Some of the installations are interactive and even the carriages pulled by horses are all lit up. Disappointing that the decorated teams are limited this year. There used to be more that ran all evening but it appears only 3 now and only seem to do one run. The tower looks great lit up but I remember how amazing the pleasure beach used to be at night with the lights but now closes at 5pm .

Best seen from an illuminated tram to avoid long traffic...

Best seen from an illuminated tram to avoid long traffic queues. Also, to avoid standing in a queue for a long time, these tours can be booked via the Blackpool Heritage Trams website, where the desired time and corresponding feature tram can be selected. Those with prepaid tickets benefit from priority boarding. Book in good time for busy weekends and school holidays.

they need to find a way to stop long queues on the promenade...

they need to find a way to stop long queues on the promenade during the illuminations. It is dreadful for residents when they can't get travelling from A-B without long waits on the esplanade and adjoining roads.

    Superb.

Superb. But when visiting the Blackpool Illuminations some people unless they are in a car or take the full tram ride to Bispham miss out on the best part of the illuminations because they are on the Bispham cliffs which is a few miles away from the town centre.

I think when they do the lights of the train and tramps etc they could come up and down the sea front more often instead of waiting for the tramps to fill up as it takes to longs for family’s to wait for them to come back down .
