The water is cold when you get in but after that is refreshing and it is clear like cristal. I have been living in England London city for 30 years and I never went to any beach resort in England. I always travel abroad. I am impressed. As for the stones in the beach. A beach shoes is a must it cost only £15.00 and it doesn’t come off when you swim. Try to have three towels over the stone and is comfortable lying down. 😜😜

It's a long shingle (small stones) beach right next to central Brighton. Relaxing walks, with lots of traditional tea shops and bars at hand. You won't be coming here instead of a trip to Spain or Greece, but it is quite quaint and just a little charming.

Quite a funny hotel - very central & close to Brighton beach! It is a youth hostel though, don't forget that, even when staying in individual rooms. Good facilities and bus connections nearby.

We attended a Max Miller Appreciation Society's annual dinner in the historic ballroom. This was well presented, good quality food and serving staff friendly and helpful. The hotel has been long established with endless corridors and shows signs of wear and tear. but our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was acceptable and good choice available. All in all good vale for money. Centrally located over looking the Brighton beach.
