Excellent experience all round, but in all respects a hot summer day is the 'wrong' day to do the whole site., and it isn't particularly child-friendly if that's a concern. That's not anyone's fault, but so much in so small a space is sometimes hard to grasp. I left visiting for far too long, and I'm pleased I did - subjectively it was a very affecting experience. Churchill as a painter: lots of works, and many of high quality, but The great man's studio... like a furnace in high heat. It needs some form of through draught.

It is a beautiful old pub but so beautifully done out and comfortable. The rooms were amazing and so comfortable with everything you could wish for including flannels, sloe gin, amazing coffees and chocolates and Dyson fans. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. The on-site parking was a boon and Westerham is such a lovely little town and so close to Chartwell and Hever Castle.

Bright room, with large bed and lovely shower/bathroom. The evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional, and the breakfast was excellent. The area is perfect for walks, a visit to Chartwell and the lovely town of Westerham. The Old Ship pub over the road also serves good food and beer, while the nearby Botley Hill Farmhouse servres superb Sunday lunches.

Location perfect for visit to Chartwell House. Bedroom in roof space exceeded expectations although the ensuite bathroom was rather cold. Loved the roll top bath. Complimentary gin and chocolates a nice touch. Bed roomy and very comfortable. Breakfast just what was needed to start the day. Booked a meal in the restaurant on the evening of arrival - food was very good but very pricey and service charge a little excessive. Other than this small gripe, oh and the cold bathroom, a short but comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It was perfect for us. Two pals enjoying the delights of West Kent. This was a fab home from home to chill, chat, laugh and set out for some memorable visits, notably nearby Squerryes Winery, Hush Heath and Chartwell. Barry was attentive and very helpful without being intrusive. The welcome pack of wine, chocs and provisions was a bonus. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you, Barry!

This was a really convenient place to stay as it was in close proximity to Hever Castle, Chartwell and Penshurst Place. The room was cleaned to a really high standard and everything was sanitised in line with COVID-19 regulations. The room was only £45 for the night was extremely good value for money but I wouldn't pay more as the hotel itself is quite dated. I'm guessing it was so cheap because it was close to the M25 and we were just coming out of the pandemic.
