It’s amazing with something to see for all ages and free to enter. The building itself is light and airy and fully accessible. Parking is close by, the restaurant is reasonably priced and the food delicious. The museum sits next to a canal, offering a lovely walk. There are restaurants close by and the area is close to the city centre.

    Location is great.

Location is great. If you want a good coffee check out North Star Coffee shop. To realistically comprehensively see it all plan for 2+ days. The sword fight demonstration is informative and entertaining.

Lots to see and there is always something happening in the Royal Armouries Museum especially at the weekend. We saw quite a few presentation, theater and historic plays so would definitely recommend having a look at their website or arrive early on to check the on the day events :)

Give your self as much time as possible to enjoy all that is on offer. Dragging my partner there turned into dragging her out after 3 1/2 hours of fun and education. Put it top of you must do in Leeds.

Allow a full day to take in the wonders of the Armouries.

Allow a full day to take in the wonders of the Armouries. Worth planning your visit as there is so much to take in. Also there are demonstrations and talks throughout the day which are fun. Don't miss the amazing Hall of Steel staircase by taking the lift!! There are too many highlights to mention, but Henry VIII's armour for the Field of Cloth of Gold Tournament is amazing to see, as is the central display in the Oriental gallery, and the amazing elephant armour. Enjoy!!!

It was very convenient for the conference that I was attending which was being held at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. The flat was comfortable and close to amenities. It was also a reasonable distance from the train station. Any issues or problems were very promptly managed by the contact for the apartment.

A basic hotel, rooms only, but just what was needed for a one night / one person stay very close to the Royal Armouries Museum. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable; ensuite; tea and coffee making tray. There is no breakfast (stopped in COVID19 times they told me), but there is a very nice coffee shop/breakfast place in the Leeds Dock area just outside the Royal Armouries
