The fabulous ground appears out of nowhere! The incredible atmosphere around the stadium while the fans enjoy the pre match food and drink! My 1st experience at an international rugby match and I wasn't disappointed, the stadium was bouncing, the electric atmosphere within was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone! AWESOME!
We love Murrayfield ( not as much as the Principality!) but PLEASE more ladies loos! Youve a lot of female fans treat them to less time queuing and more time in the stadium. Missed a full 5minutes of the second half !
It was great for rugby international. We didn’t realise TIL we got there we couldn’t take bags in. We were then sent away to another entrance to leave bags which took up a lot of time and cost £10. We arrived about 45 mins before start of game but only got to seats with 5 mins to spare, and saw others with bigger bags than ours had been allowed in
I went to see the Rolling Stones here. The band were brilliant but the venue itself was a nightmare. There was no organisation so the place was a total shambles. I would never go there for a gig again. There was a lack of facilities resulting in horrendous queues for the toliet. The signs for where to go were inadequate and the staff gave us wrong directions. On leaving the venue the roads were all closed which meant you had no choice but to walk to either Haymarket or the city centre. Once at Haymarket we had to wait over an hour for a taxi. My friends, who we got separated from, ended up having to walk 9 miles home to our accommodation in Leith. Ridiculous. There should have been a taxi rank outide Murray field like there is at any other large concert. Disgraceful
Get to the toilets before the show ends. The toilets were closed off by security staff and all the slow walking elderly gentlemen were blocked from entry and told to find a portaloo on the periphery. Absolutely stupid policy putting the security staff at risk from irate pensioners desperate for the toilets. They took longer to explain the nebulous reasons than if they had let everyone in, prostatism regardless.
I love Murrayfield on rugby days the atmosphere is like nothing else, the roar of the supporters and the amazing staff. However my only niggle is if you are female go with extra toilet roll in your bag as it runs out quickly and don't go after 2nd half of a game as the toilets block up constantly.
