We hit Galway during a spate of bad weather and probably can't give Eyre Square it's due. It is a very nice green space in the middle of downtown Galway. Try to go when it isn't pouring!

Don't bother, too many stall of crap, too many stalls of same same food. Had been hoping for proper artisan stalls, dint find any just stalls with rude stall holders. In fairness the Christmas ornament stall were fantastic, so lovely to deal with, but other than that the stall holders spoke to customers like they owned them a living. Very very disappointed. Last time I'll go. Would rather support my local small businesses.

    Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Very relaxing and enjoyable. During the summer months, if the weather is good, it is nice to buy a take away coffee/lunch and bring it over to the green area in the square. There is seating but it is also nice to chill on the grass. The place is buzzing with people of all ages and if you are lucky, many wonderfully talented musicians will be playing/performing in the surrounding area. In the winter and in particular at Christmastime, there is a Christmas market and the place is amazing. Shopping in Galway is the best with a huge variety of shops in the city centre and plenty of shopping centres. The buzz is just amazing. It's a student's and artist's paradise any time of the year.

As stated above about Galway, I loved the way

As stated above about Galway, I loved the way There was so Many stores, Pubs & Restaurants So close together and the food & people working at all the places we went to were friendly & very kind. The Street Musicians were Amazingly Talented And we’re a Joy to behold! Such a Wide Variety too!!! So much to see, Definitely bring a Camera whether you have a cell phone or not. I had problems with my cell phone because of battery & charging issues and my phone looking for Towers that are in Oregon Not Ireland iPhone 7. Just saying I wish I had known that in advance, I asked people about this kind of thing before I left Oregon & people were vague at best and researching that On the Internet didn’t help. Anyway, I would Definitely go back, bring More money to do more & exchange currency at the Dublin Airport in a Much larger quantity to begin with. You don’t know,”In Advance,” how many Tours, and places you will end up visiting, so Plan ahead! I loved staying at the Flannery’s Hotel as the 409 Double Decker Bus picks you up so close to there and your able to get to Eyre Square quickly! My daughter & I Loved that convenience!!! Fantastic! I would & will go back Much better prepared And with My Own Camera that doesn’t need to be constantly charged & connected to Wi-Fi! That way, you don’t miss out on taking All the Wonderful pictures you can possibly take!!! I was So fascinated by it all, that I was torn between taking pictures & experiencing it All! My advice, or “Tip,” go to Galway, to Eyre Square, experience Kennedy Park, The Cliffs Of Moher & Aran Islands near there Doolin and Definitely order the Clam Chowder which is more of a Seafood Chowder delicious & delightfully so!!! This can be found at Fitzpatrick’s Pub in Doolin.

The square is unavoidable as its the central hub for city buses. It is also bordered by the railway station. The park was reworked some years ago and I seem to remember that both the cost and result were controversial. It is now invaded by seagulls that are annoying people eating from the nearby fast food outlets.

The staff are just so friendly, everything done with a smile. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the food in the restaurant is lovely and fairly priced and the bar has a pretty good selection of whiskey and gin along with everything else you'd expect to find. The hotel itself is a 2 minute walk from Eyre Square. We drove but if you were getting either the train or the bus both stations are just minutes walking away.

The apartment is in a perfect location to explore Galway. Right off Eyre Square and an easy walk down to all of the action of Quay St. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are all top notch. And the bonus was having a patio overlooking the entire city. So nice! We had a car, and there is a dedicated parking spot for the apartment in a secure garage with direct lift access into the building.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The suite was very comfortable and location of hotel could not be better, on the edge of Eyre Square, round the corner from train station yet quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent. Large comfortable bar.

The road outside was busy which we hadn't expected. Sea view was quite industrial, again, we hadn't expected. Having said all that, the room was lovely; the bed was fabulous - a zip and link and the comfort exceptional. A short walk to Eyre Square and on to the Latin Quarter. I'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in a good location, very close to the Spanish Arch, the High Street and Eyre Square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, had good WIFI, TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a decent shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Nice bar/restaurant. Parking was cheap at the nearby Hynes multi-storey (EUR 8 for the night). We would happily stay here again.

Brilliant location - just off the corner of Eyre Square, really clean, good facilities, beds very comfortable - although I personally prefer harder pillows, and they have curtains on each bed for privacy. The place is orderly and quiet and the staff do a great job of keeping it that way at night. More like a hotel than a hostel to be honest.
