Only 4-5 min walk from the west exit of the Echigo-Yuzawa station. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the same street.

Rooms: they were spacious and the futons got made every day. Onsen: fantastic onsen facilities that made our stay more pleasant. Breakfast: good variety of Western and Japanese food. The restaurant was big and accommodated everyone. Coffee and amazake were provided free of charge which was a lovely gesture.

It is also not far from Echigo-Yuzawa station, so it's convenient for an early start the next day. There are also a couple of free parking lots nearby for those coming by car like I did.
