First of all, kindness, sympathy, generosity and benevolence are the words that sum up the owners Marino and Kei well. In addition, they speak perfect English which makes communication much easier for people who do not speak Japanese. Then the house is really clean and the beds are really comfortable.Finally, the house benefits from an excellent location, very close to Lake Yamanakako and a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. It is a big and warm hut near to Lake Yamanakako, my parents slept in the room and we slept in the tatami area. You can cook/BBQ, there is small bath tub too:) The welcome drink coffee is tasty too!

The rooms are traditional ryokan with tatami mats and you have your own amenities to make tea or heat up something in the microwave. You are also about a 10 min walk from bus station and downtown - which has excellent places to eat and drink. Also the onsen was great and in the lounge area you could build a fire!

Yabukiso is around 9 minutes from the closest bus station. From certain areas you can see Mt. Fuji from the house. We used the public bath from the house , rented a bike and had an overall nice experience near lake Yamanaka.VladRomania

There is free parking for hotel guests. Across from the hotel, you can rent bikes to cycle around the lake (14 km) and gives various views of Mt. Fuji. I also walked around the lake the following morning. Soaking in the communal bath at the end of an active day is good.TomokoSwitzerland
