A perfect place to unwind for two nights in Yufuin, with calming music, a cup of tea and the scenery and not far from the base of Mount Yufu. The ‘country roads’ vibe made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Especially the staff playing and singing the song whenever a guest heads off on the rest of their journey.

Yamaboushi is conveniently located closed to Iwao Byouin Mae bus stop, where where you can hop on a bus to go to the Yufu trailhead. The main shopping street is only a short walk away, too, which means you can easily explore all the shops and restaurants. There's also a lovely little outdoor onsen. When I was there, I had it to myself, which was extra special. The staff are very friendly and accommodating!
