Fabulous - recommend you get there by 9am.

Fabulous - recommend you get there by 9am. Free to get in for over 65's but cheap anyway. Changing of the guard at 10am but you can easily walk around the grounds of the Palace on your own before then.

Large place but take up the opportunity to hire the Korean clothing - Hanbok. I did it at another location and just loved walking around in it. Free entry to the palaces if you do wear it. Much cheaper to hire outside of the palaces, especially at the Bukchon Hanok Village. Locals were coming up to us, to help me rety the ribbons etc, so it was very nice.

Had multiple rude encounters with the staff.

Had multiple rude encounters with the staff. They were rude to me in English and to my friend in Korean. It ruined the feeling of our whole outing. I don't care to return. My tip is to be more kind to guests.

    It was a good experience.

It was a good experience. Don't miss the marching of guard changing on 10 a.m and 2 p.m held everyday at the front gate. The whole layout of the entire palace ground was really huge, we didn't explore all of them. It was a bit disappointing that you can't really enter the building of the palace itself. You could only look around it outside of the room. It was also quite tiring cause the ground space was really huge compared to the buildings, so the time to move from one place to another is more than actually seeing the buildings themselve.

Location is by far the best thing about this hotel: short walk to Seoul's 3 main attractions: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village and to the metro stops. Moreover, you are in Insadong, an amazing suburb with so many good restaurants and shops. Reception was good and accommodated all our requests (travel adaptor, taxi etc).

We chose the hotel because of the location, it was very convenient for us, close to metro stations, we could walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Village. The room is clean, the staff is polite, they tried to help with any question, the breakfast is standard. The hotel is suitable if you walk around the city all day and come only to sleep.

Very close to Gyeongbokgung Palace , Gwanghwamun Plaza and Deoksugung Palace. Metro stop is just 400m away and connects you to any other places in Seoul. Direct bus to international airport is just in front of the door.

It is perfect place for tourism! Located at a food street. so many local food. ONLY 5 min walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace, 10 min Cheongwadae. And 1 min to metro. Moreover, the welcome drink is very delicious fruit tea. But a bit sweet to me.
