Volubilis is just okay.
Volubilis is just okay. After multiple earthquakes, abandonment, local tribes using the ruins for construction purposes, this ancient city is mostly about 1 foot high. They have made some efforts to put some of the structures back together again, but mostly you really have to use your imagination to see it aa anything other than building blocks on the ground. This being said there are some interesting mosaics that have survived … amazingly.

Beautiful view from the terrace. The food is absolutely delicious and the breakfast the best in Morocco! Hajiba and Fadwa went out of their way to help and even did my laundry! Lovely people. We took the option of travelling on donkeys to explore the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis. Unfortunately, the weather was very hot so we wanted to get there when it opened so the staff made up a wonderful picnic breakfast for us to eat at the ruins. Very helpful staff and a delicious dinner.
