One of my favorite sights in Lisbon -- this is a must-see. The architecture is gorgeous! Because it's very popular, you do need to plan ahead and get your tickets early, so you are not spending too much time in line.
Not usually a Church/Relic fan, and although disappointed that so much of the added architecture is relatively new (late 1800's) it is still well worth a visit....be warned one loo for several hundred people, which is typical of many Portuguese tourist sites!
buy tickets in the internet. Nice PAstel in Pastelaria the Belem and you must try it, but IMHO better are in Pastry Santo António R. Milagre de Santo António 10, 1100-351 Lisboa, Portugalia near st Jorge castle
We were there at the end of the day. The line to get in was quite short at that time. Still had time to see the parts of the monastery that were not closed for renovations or refurbishments. The size of the Monastery allows the crowds to be dispersed so you can take plenty of shots without strangers in them. Easy to visit the monastery and Belem Tower in the same day.
The monastery and the Church are really impressive. The Church can be visited for free. Even though the inside of the monastery (you can only see the cloister and a couple of other rooms) is really beautiful I don't think it was Worth waiting over an hour and spending quite a bit of money for what in the end was a 15 min. visit.
Waw i love it. You must der IT. Yes there are every day a long Rank od turists. But on the other side IS a small park. Go there and find Lila Office with name ticket and buy ticket there. Then you have vip priority and spand time for exploring the monastery not for waiting.

Ideal location - on a walking distance of the shopping market, restaurants, small coffee shops and of course not to forget Torre de Balém, Jerónimos Monastery and the Navy Museum. The host has sent all the instructions and that made the first entry so easy even w/o having him there. He left a lovely surprise for us 😁. Thanks.
Belem, Lisbon
Great location, very quiet and peaceful at night. If you do get hungry there's a McDonald's and Burger King right there working till midnight (other places to eat are closed by 9). Belém has many things to see starting with the Jerónimos Monastery.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Top location to stay in central Lisbon - all sights, restaurants and fado places easily avalable on foot, and some, like Jeronimos Monastery and Belém Tower, by bus (station is conveniently nearby)..
