Temple of Artemis
One of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Temple of Artemis was built near the ancient city of Ephesus. Its majestic columns symbolised the wealth and splendour of the city, but were also a testament to the goddess of the hunt. Today its ruins sit on a swamplike swathe of land, the white marble foundations all that remains of the once-glorious monument.

Lovely, charming, quiet hotel in the old town area of Selcuk, close to lots of ruins. The staff were lovely, the breakfast served was delicious and generous in portions on a gorgeous patio, bed and pillows comfortable, the location was incredible. We booked the room with balcony on the top floor overlooking the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, it was so nice to sit on the balcony enjoying the sunshine and beautiful view. Highly, highly recommend staying here!
This is a lovely family run hotel with an Australian-Turkish dad, Harry. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and there is a lovely rooftop terrace where they serve the substantial traditional breakfast. You can make out the one remaining pillar of the Temple of Artemis from the roof. Harry was able to find us a bus to Bodrum as the buses don't tend to have websites to plan this ahead, which was really helpful for us. He also advised us to go to the upper gate at Ephesus and walk down to avoid having to go up and down again.
The hotel is extremely central, within easy walking distance to St John's basilica, the castle and the Temple of Artemis. Short drive to the Ephesus ancient city. The room is spacious and the hotel is charming.
Room is incredibly spacious, the bed is large and comfortable, and all of the things in the room work fine. There is a good-sized balcony overlooking the park outside of the hotel. It is not too noisy in the evenings. Location is excellent. Bus station is directly across the road (2 minute walk) as is a supermarket. The site of Ephesus is a 25-30 minute walk along a straight road next to the hotel, so is very easy to get to if you don't want to take a bus/taxi (and the Temple of Artemis is on the way).
Nice location in the centre, right next to the ruins of the Temple of Artemis and many nice restaurants. The hotel is small and familiar with beautiful spacious well cleaned rooms. The host was friendly and helpful. Good Turkish breakfast
The location is very good. Easy access to the center of the city and to the istorical sites around Selcuk. Many places to visit, Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, Grotto of the Seven Sleepers, Temple of Artemis. There are good restaurants around. If you like pide, you must eat at the restaurant across the street. The hotel has elevator, which was important for us. Parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast could be better, because it's Turkey, but it was okay.
A charming hotel in a great location to visit the the major attractions. The Temple of Artemis is around the corner and the must-see Ephesus about 30-40 minute walking distance. The staff were friendly and always greet you with a welcoming smile. A plethora of restaurants and cafes no more than a minute away and the bus terminal connecting you to all the major cities is no more than 5-10 minutes away. The water pressure from the shower was surprisingly good and i enjoyed the balcony very much.
Top quality furnishings and fittings, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast, fantastic host. Excellent position close to Saint Johns basilica and the old part of Selcuk, which is a lovely town near by to Ephesus. It is possible to walk to and from Ephesus but takes about an hour. Very near what is left of temple of Artemis, One of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Location = perfect, breakfast = perfect, hotel = perfect, room = perfect, staff = perfect.
This should be on the list of Best Small Boutique Hotels in the World.
The Manager, Arda was fantastic - helped us with an awesome tour guide (Nizam), restaurant suggestions, sightseeing - everything he touched turned to gold for our stay in Selcuk.
Walking distance to Temple of Artemis, Isa Bey Mosque, St John the Baptist Basilica, Ephesus Archaeological Museum and main restaurant area of Selcuk
Great location. Easy walk from train station and to several sites: Basilica of St. John, Temple of Artemis ruins, the Museum. The minibus terminal to go to Ephesus and other places is very close, and across the street from the terminal is a hospital if anyone needs help. I became sick from something I ate in town, and the hosts were very understanding and helpful. Diana even made tea for me. Much appreciated. The rooftop terrace is also a great place for breakfast or just relaxing.
