Get Max Pass. If you have anyone who wants thrill rides it's 100% worth it to not wait in lines all day. We are annual pass holders and we know our way around. We also recommended going in the off season. Summer is the worst time to go.
I would recommend buying the max pass & the fast pass if waiting is an issue for you. My daughters are 9years & 13years old. Not a single disagreement happened between them while visiting the parks. The variety of rides delivered many great surprises, so many to choose from. I would have enjoyed one more day.
I highly recommend the fireworks and the lights show at 9:30pm. Suggest to find a better spot 15-20 minutes before at Mickey's Toontown. And if you don't mind to hang around a bit longer, another highly recommended show is the Phantasmic show at 10:30pm which is a live show from Mickey himself and some of the major Disney characters.
Use the FASTPASS! We stayed at a local hotel with free shuttle bus to /from the parks, that was a great deal. Was not impressed with the quality of maintenance at both Disney parks, a lot of mechanical breakdowns and failures. We could even see indications of poor maintenance/upkeep and craftsmanship in some of the older attractions. Expected better from Disney
Buy a fast pass it's too frustrating queuing while the pass holders get priority! We done 2 days without then on our third visit we got the pass which included free photo downloads so worth it but get there early to maximize benefits
Disneyland, what can I really say? this is the original Disneyland and only where Walt Disney stepped foot out of all the Disney's. Not only this, I LOVE that children can enjoy this but adults can be kids without anyone judging them. Such a magical place to go to. I have no bad things to say about this place. Spectacular. Just go if you ever get a chance!
The hotel and its location are fantastic for visiting Disneyland, I would definitely say this is a venue more for families but the pool, sauna and spa facilities are great and are more that suitable for a couple wanting to experience the magic kingdom, the complimentary shuttle busses from the hotel make it a breeze the get to and from Disneyland as well. Also the onsite store is reasonably priced for snacks and sandwiches if you want to avoid the extra expense of buying food in the park.
Location excellent for Disneyland. Close to good restaurants - Bubba Gumps, Cheesecake Factory and others. Garden Walk pleasant to walk through. Heated pool excellent. Able to buy Disney tickets at the hotel, which saved time.
The hotel is in the best location for accessing Disneyland, so if this is what you want it is perfect! The hotel itself is pretty basic but the rooms are clean and have all the facilities you could need for a short stay.
Complimentary breakfast was good. It is served as buffet. Location is close to Disneyland Entrance (walk about 12-15 minutes). Location is pretty safe, well lit. 24hours Walgreens is near hotel, it maybe convenient.
The hotel itself was great. We were given a very large room and had loads of space. It was amazing for walking to Disneyland. A CVS and Walgreans are right across the street too and restaurants very close by.
Nicely appointed modern apartment that was spacious and comfortable. Good proximity to Disneyland and near by restaurants and amenities.
Location is very good to go to Disneyland. Is in front of the entrance to the parks. I like this hotel very much.
If you are going to Disneyland with a conservative budget, this is the hotel you need!
Closeness to Disneyland and facilities within the hotel
Stay at a hotel within ten minutes of the park. Leave your hotel at least an hour before the park opens; you will avoid the huge lazy crowd coming in to the parking garage 1-2 hours after opening. It can take 45-60 minutes just to get into the parking garage during that time, so come early if you'd rather spend that time in the park. Weekdays are always better than weekends for getting on more rides, but the time of year is important, too. Try to avoid major holidays or vacation times such as Spring Break. Do the most popular rides as soon as the park opens when crowds are thinner; you won't have to wait as long. Try waiting 1-2 hours after the stereotypical "lunch" and "dinner" times to eat your meals in order to avoid a long line for food. Bring your own lunch and keep it in a locker to avoid such lines completely and save a few bucks. Snacks, food, and water are all allowed in the parks. Always wear comfy (not brand-new) tennis shoes for maximum walk-abilty. When you arrive, check the times for the daily parades and if you don't care about them, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, avoid Main Street and Fantasyland during that time!! If you are entering Disneyland during that time, you will not be able to get anywhere, the crowds take up the entire sidewalk and you will feel like a salmon trying to fight your way up against the current of people. Stay in California Adventure during that time if you have park hopper passes, or get some Main Street shopping done, because you will not get anywhere at all otherwise.
Take a special someone to Disneyland before you make little special-someone children. If you are both in decent shape and willing to power-walk around strollers, you'll be faster than most of the seemingly intimidating crowds. It's like a 16-hour hike but with air-conditioned pacing breaks for ghost pirates and talking cars. Maybe that's not your ideal date, but my special someone and I never tire of it. And our calves look fantastic.
Enough time in your trip to explore all that Disneyland contains other than just the rides, at least several days is good.
A hotel close to the park that is affordable, clean, safe, comfortable, and has plenty of parking, makes the time spent at Disneyland so much more enjoyable. Disneyland is always a pleasure, particularly when there are good bands playing on the property. An awesome hotel is like having home a short walk or drive away.
Be prepared to spend at Disneyland. There are shops outside Disneyland that offer souvenirs a lot cheaper. Bring your walking shoes.
We went to Disneyland and Californian Adventure in one day ,almost 10hrs at Theme Parks was to much for my poor old legs , however our teenage daughter's would have stayed for 24hrs. Longer at each Park would have been better .. 2-3 days
