I love times square. Plenty to see and do. Lots of restaurants ranging from reasonable to pricy. Shop around. If you stay in times square, Central Park, Lincoln Center and Carnagie Hall are all within walking distance.
Times Square is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate. However, be prepared to be overwhelmed with the amount of people and the sensory overload! Don't pose for pictures with or even interact with the characters in costumes, unless you intend to pay them. If you want to see Times Square at the least stressful time, go at 3am. And the best food in NYC is NOT in Times Square.
My comments are only negative because everything got shut down and our trips were all cancelled due to Coronavirus so everywhere was either shut or empty. Just bad timing but lucky to have survived the experience.
Mixed Emotions. One night, immediately as the rain was gone, I met a melting pot of languages and advertising displays right there on Times Square and felt landed in a vision of tomorrow. But it was nowadays. That let me think over some things. And especially for this we need such unique places. I love that.
WOW!!!! Times Square is definitely one of those must see places in New York!! And that is any time of the day!! But it is most spectacular at night....the lights, the people, the atmosphere...the place is a buzz ALL THE TIME!! I highly recomend a visit to Times Square for any traveller.
If you attending a count down you need to bring adult nappies. Toilet is not accessible. Once you In that's it, if you going out there is no way you can back in. Backpacks, ambarella etc.. you cant take it inside. Overall visits my family enjoyed our stay except the countdown very unorganised.
I had an 8 night sray with my wife and was upgraded to junior Suite (without having to ask) and the room was very large as was the enormous bed, it had a stand alone fridge which was great for keeping our soft drinks and water cold in a very hot New York. It was in a central location on 7th avenue a couple of minutes walk from Times Square and the subway and 6 or seven minutes from Central Park. Were I to return to New York, I would not hesitate to book into the Michaelangelo Hotel in a heartbeat.
We stayed 10 nights at the hotel. Located 3/4 blocks from Times Square and 1 block from the subway station, we found it easy to move around in New York. Many facilities are available at the hotel, including a gym, breakfast, washing machines, a bar, and free coffee and water. Our room was a queen room, so for us it was a good size and provided us with adequate facilities. The hotel is really good for families, it was good value for money.
The location is perfect for a short city break to get about New York, close enough to walk to Times Square, Empire State etc or get the subway downtown for The Statue of Liberty and the financial district. Also, very close to Penn Station (5 min walk) if you want to get the Air Train from JFK to Jamaica, then main line to Penn. The hotel staff were great, and this hotel comes with a free breakfast which sets you up for the day.
Perfect location for city exploration to uptown and downtown attractions. We used the Metro for wich the Hotel is perfectly located (right between Bryant Park and Times Square stations). Our room was very big, unusual for New York and very clean. The bed was so comfortable and we had a great stay there.
The hotel is located in a perfect spot next to Broadway shows and the excitement of Times Square. The room was a good size for New York hotel stays and the Beds, bedding and pillows were super comfortable! The hotel is very modern and offers a great place to just sit and relax in the lobby.
the hotel location near to the times square and subway station. even though the surrounding have a lot of homeless people and people with weed smoke and drunk, bu this is center of new york you can find anything. you can find a lot of food choice that not expensive
I went with my Friend to New York for the first Time and the location is great. We are 20 minutes away from Times Square. The apartment is clean. There is everything you need like towels ans shampoo etc... I will definitely Come back
An amazing location in New York City for a great price. Times Square was a 10 minute walk, Central Park also. This hotel really is in the middle of everything.
This hotel is superb, the apartment was spacious and contained everything we needed. The location is perfect, just around the corner from Times Square.
The hotel is less than one minute by walk from Times Square, so perfect to move around New York.
Choose a substantial section of the city, say Lower Manhattan, plot the sights you wish to see on a map so that you do not have to retrace your steps, take public transit to your starting point and begin your exploration. We started at the 9/11 Memorial and worked our way north, including City Hall, the Merchant's House, Chinatown, the Bowery, Washington Square, the White Horse Tavern, the High Line and the Garment District. Of course, there were all kinds of surprises, which added to the experience. We began at 10 am and were back at our Times Square hotel by 4 pm.
The Broadway experience is such a classic part of going to New York. The standard of performance is so high, and the atmosphere as you spill out towards Times Square afterwards is unforgettable.
Well, They're iconic! Statue of Liberty, Empire State, Top of The Rock, Times Square are things you must visit who you're there!
There are so many historical sights and architecture to see and behold. You can walk the stretch of Broadway and Times Square and you'll see many attractions already.
Times Square is very busy as are most of the main tourist attractions, but the hop on hop off busses are great or if you don't mind walking choose another street other than broadway and it is far easier to walk down
Visit the city during the week. You could visit locations without being mobbed. Times Square on the weekend (first weekend in June) was a zoo - too crowded.
